Hi my names Dunk

Was told about the forum by Moz on the E46 zone as i'm possibly looking at getting
a Z4

I thought it best to join up before i buy and see what problems there are to check
before handing over my cash :)

All the best
Dunk

Generally if the car has been well looked after they are solid and similar to you e46 underpinnings.

Plenty out there so take your time to find a goon un Dunk

:driving:

I just happened to come across one yesterday at a mates workshop that a customer
wants to sell, i wasn't really looking to be honest but it looks a straight car and might come
at the right money as the owner just wants a quick easy sale so i'm just waiting to hear back
from him.

It's an 05 plate convertible 3.0, not sure on its spec but it's done 60k and looks like
its got full history but not all BMW,

My main reason for joining was to see if these had any issues and get an idea on values, i've
been looking on the usual sites, autotrader pistonheads etc

Hi Moz

Thanks mate i'm sure i will

I've read through the buying guide which is always helpful on a car i know
little about. The reg number doesn't work in the guide to bring up
the cars vin and get the build spec though.

Do these Z4's suffer from tramlining as some people seem to go on about this
or is this just a problem when fitted with run flats ?

Hi Dunk,
welcome to the forum , i've not been on here long myself.
I had my wheels refurbished and run flats taken off, as they did cause alot of tramlining, fitted Eagle F1's all round, scrubbed them in for 100 odd miles, because at 1st wasn't to sure i'd done the right thing, now what a difference, suspension feels softer, no tramlining.. :D
The guys and girls on here will steer you right, as they are happy help out, no matter how silly or trivial you think the question might be, good luck in your quest for your Z..

Thanks for all the welcomes guys

I shall chase my mate up today and see where we are at with this Z4 and if i can get a test
drive in it

Afraid ive not been on here for a while and started looking at other convertibles but now back looking at
newer Z4's :)
