Z4 newbie

Couple of issues with car, smoky on start up but not every time , sooty exhaust and a slight buzz throu clutch when engaging gears and a whine which is apparent . Dealer whom I bought it from is refusing to take my call . Really don't want to have bought a dud as it's a lovely drive

Smoke on start up is usually caused by the breather getting gunked up,due to short runs, very often a nice spirited drive sorts it out
 
Noisy clutch / flywheels are not at all rare on Si Z4s , even well kept low mileage ones , it doesn't necessarily mean impending failure
Maybe worth adding specific year model for more detailed replies from forum members , certainly a wealth of knowledge available here .
Would be rare to have any major engine failure so wouldn't press the panic button just yet :oops: welcome to the forum :thumbsup:

I hope the Italian tune-up solves the smokiness, but at least you will have had a good drive regardless!
