Hi All,

I've just registered for the forum so hello to all on my first post!

I'm a rather pleased BMW fanboy who has managed to assist his good lady in parting with her embarrassment of a smokey Fiesta 1.4TDCI in favour of a Z4 3.0 SDrive. Particularly pleasing as the initial feedback was "No, I do not want a BMW, and No, I do not want anything larger than a 2.0". Result!

We lined up a number of test drives incl. Mini Roadster JCW Convertible, TT, MX5 & SLK and (she) narrowed down the choice to the Mini or the Z4. Initially we tried the 2.0SDrive which she loved, although I have to say I wasn't entirely enjoying the 4pot tappity nature of the block which feels a little alien to me in a BMW.

Fortunately, the final dealer gave us a 3.0SDrive and JCW to drive back to back and where I could have put money on her picking the Mini she returned with a big grin in the Z4

As a longer term member of BMWLand, Forum5 and The Alpina Register I'm sure the Z4 forum is similar in appreciating a few pictures so here we go:

It has the Media Pack, Comfort Pack & Pure White Design Pack and having had a brief scan of this forum last week, no water in the tyre / battery well :D

I'm sure my second post won't be far off as I stealthily begin to commandeer her new chariot and find questions for you all.

The Z4 joins my own two barges, adding a splash of colour to the weekend Alpina B7 and the daily F10 550i:

Congratulations and welcome - lovely collection of BMW metal there

Hate pictures though, there's far too many on here. Please don't do it again...

:D

Welcome to the forum. Love the B7. If me and the Mrs plan to have kids in the next few years apparently I have to get a bigger car than the zed. I'll keep that and the addition, I'm hoping, will be something very similar! :driving:

Lovely colour combination on your Z - and welcome to the forum from another Berkshire member!

Oh yes, and that Alpina looks pretty stealthy - nice collection you have!
