Z4 multifunction steering wheel

Just browsing ebay and came across a Z4 mfsw,which got me thinking rather than removing the steering wheel but just using mf controls,my car is a 2.2 53 plate is it already prewired or do i need some extra wiring?
 
I think September 2003 is the cutoff point, before that you need the additional cable, think specific details are in Sideshowbob's How To... if not then one of the other threads it links too. Also, I think it would be easier to just swap the wheels over - you need to take the airbag off to remove the spokes and it's also difficult to get the centre spoke off without breaking a lug.
 
mines built in august 03, and i had to make a retrofit cable to attach my MFSW. (apparently you cant buy the cable in Australia) However it only takes about 10 mins to make and fit one yourself. and totally worth it
