Z4 models - Si

Si means the facelift models fitted with 2.5 or 3.0l N52 engines, in place of the earlier M54 engine range.

Also to add, if you're looking for a coupe, they're all si

It's perhapse more confusing with the roadsters as they overlap. Basically pre-facelifts were referred to as just "i" and post facelift referred to as "si". In terms of age thats 2003 to 2006 pre-facelift (just "i") and then 2006 to 2008 which is facelift (and "si")

Take a look here for visual differences between the two (very first part of the thread) https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=107556

Not true, there is a facelift 2.5i and a 2.5Si

The Si models are all post-facelift, 2006 on.
They are the more powerful versions of the 2.5i and 3.0i (which, in turn, are less powerful than the pre-facelift 2.5i and 3.0i models they replaced). Most Si cars will be Sport spec, but there are some SE spec about too.

There is no facelift 3.0i they are only Si

Sorry just to get it going have to post this...
"Even from its introduction in 2006, the Coupé was relatively rare: In its first 13 months on the market, the roadster outsold it at a ratio of 7 to 1.[46] For the UK 3.0si coupe model, 1598 cars were produced with an manual transmission and 1998 cars with an automatic transmission."

That's not right - tnoyz4c put a database together and he's got far more manuals listed than autos! :headbang:
