Yes,is a good article on all the Ms this, and they kinda liked the Z4 Ms,and pointed out some diffirences between the roadsters and coupes steering racks, lol :driving:

The difference in steering racks is between the M versions and the non M, the magazine comment is a bit vague . The M has the rack from the CSL and CS versions of the E46 M3 as well as the brakes. As I understand it there are some minor suspension differences between the M Roadster and the coupe,

I like the comments on collectability :D

I'm not so sure, the part numbers for the steering racks are different on realoem.com. Also been said before on here the racks are different.

Sorry if my understanding is wrong. Does anybody know what the difference between the M roadster and M coupe racks are if any. I have owned an E46 m3 and an E46 M3 cs and found the steering terrific on the cs and the Z4 mc. Both ahead of the std M3.

From memory the coupe is meant to be faster.

That's correct, the coupe has a faster steering rack as well as uprated suspension due to it's marked greater torsional rigidity

The Coupes have stiffer rear anti-rollbars(due to slightly extra weight over the Roadsters) and the Coupes have a diffirent rack setup/steering ratio which comes from the csl m3,wheras the Roadster has the default m3 settings...eg.coupes steering rack ratio is 14.5:1 while roadster was 15.4:1.
Both have csl/cs brakes;this i know after renewing them..and they are rather expensive..noticablly more £ than the std m3 front brake discs and pads

Anyway,they both drive superbly,and look amazing;in their own/diffirent ways :D :driving:
