So soon after joining the Forum......you going for another Zed? Did you get the Sport Button sorted?

If I am going to hand a complete stranger a wad of of money for a product ,that I know very little about, with no guarantee, I would like to be able to discuss any probs I may have with the said product , suppose im a bit of cynic. I feel when buying used cars, much of the time one pays his money and takes his chances , risk can be reduced by 'knowing' who you are buying the car from be it a main dealer or an acquaintance.

Well when buying a car from someone, after handing over your cash, any subsequent problems are yours. I suppose you could call the guy for information but he is under no obligation to help you.

Absolutely !

Bought my slk off someone emmigrating to new zealand got a real bargain, superb car apart from turning up after giving them £17k before i saw or got the car and arrived at an empty house, thought they had emmigrated with all my money, all ok but not something i would recommend, but the best deal i ever had on a car.

But to answer stonners question, depends how quick you want to sell it. Mine is pretty mint with every option barr cruise, 7 months warranty blah blah and in the trade it is worth around 16000 to 16500, I got quite a few quotes off several dealers, BMW offered me £16750 i got quite a bit more than that on a trade in on the car i am buying, but that is a bit irrelvant to you. There are a lot around at £16.5k, without warranty and Nav and presume people will take a deal on those prices. I think £18k for mine is a good deal compared to what bmw have, but these things just do not seem to sell well outside a dealer.

The market for these are really slow as are most cars in general at the moment.

Good luck with your sale.

Did you sell then as I saw it fell below reserve on auction then was listed as 'buy now' and now not listed?

Hope you did sell
