Long time no write up
Last weekend seen Beau Technique undertake 2 intensive days of detailing escapades with this newly acquired BMW Z4 M roadster. Client wanted as much swirl markings and tidying up as possible within the time. Included was a light interior tidy up and Renovo deep clean / re-proof to the convertible soft top. Onward with the preparation bravado...
First up, a light spray of water to the roof ready for the Renovo cleaner...
This was thoroughly and evenly applied to the roof...
And left for required time to do its magic. Meanwhile the wheels were next on the agenda cleaning both inner and outer fascia's with various brushes and Dooka wash mitt...
Rinsed thoroughly then treated to Iron x which as you can see was still essential after removing all soiling and grime...
Rinsed and then back to the roof for some much needed agitation to loosen the grime...
This was rinsed via hosepipe to avoid being too aggresive with the fragile nature of soft top's. Vehicle was then foamed with Meguiars apc including arches etc. Tyres and arches dealt with via Vikan brush. Once a few minutes were over, vehicle was washed using the typical 2 bucket method / grit guards / G3 bodywork detox and Dooka wash pad...
Not the filkthiest but proof the 2bm works
Whole car Iron x treated to remove metal contaminants, rinsed and clayed with Bilthambre and Meguairs last touch detailer which lifted very little actual bonded contaminants...
Final rinse down...
Dried and into the more than adequate work space provided by Jaime's...
Taped up and on with plenty of intricate polishing...
Lots of cutting...
Polishing...
And some very light refining...
To give a very nice level of gloss and clarity to the finish...
50 / 50 for your viewing pleasure...
And a couple of teh finished rear quarter under light...
Many a random deep scratch remained but seeing as paint readings were anywhere between 284 - 90.5um, a slight er on the side of caution had to be adhered.
Once all polishing complete it was time for teh finishing touches...
Sticker removed on client's request...
At this point the roof was vacced to remove any light dust prior to Renovo proofer being applied...
Again, brushed on evenly for perfect coverage...
prewax cleansed with Raceglaze signature cleanser and paired with Raceglaze 42 signature wax...
Time for some ( sadly ) shady outdoor finale pictures...
Thanks for taking the time to look at the latest fun detail.
