Very nice...I think the coupe in silver grey looks lovely, especially with csl's , etc...... i almost bought 1 back last yr before I bought my Interlagos Blue roadster :D

The car looks great :thumbsup:
 
Car is all tucked up for winter now, I plan on doing a few choice mods such as Intravee and installing a rainbow sound system.
 
Fitted a new gearknob the other day, after much research on the subject I decided I wanted a ZHP but wanted to retain the illumination. So I went for one off a F10 M5 which is essentially a ZHP with illumination and a new much nicer leather gater. The old knob came off fairly easily and promptly smacked me in the nose after I adopted the now standard "Laying an egg over the handbrake" pose for the removal... I had to remove the old gater from the plastic ring and then cut and glue the new one to fit correctly. By the time I had finished it was dark so I got some nice pics of the much clearer illumination.


 
Prepping for a VW show in Holland at the start of August I decided to do a bit of a strip down and see why im getting juddering through the brake pedal and a binding noise whilst reversing.

(its on bags lol)

I think I found the issue....

Quite concerning that I found no evidence of any copper grease at all on anything which might explain why the pads didn't want to come out and everything was so tight. Looks like the bottom rh pistons are sticking and wearing the pad at a weird angle. So I have sent all the calipers off to be checked and rebuilt with new bolts and seals if required.

Next up is the engine mounts, i'm thinking I might go for vibra-technics road mounts?
I have some aero skirts on order as well :D
 
Fantastic car, clearly well loved - nobody spends THAT much on THAT many mods unless they really love it. Bet they were sad to see it go.

Have to say - i'm torn between keeping mine OEM+ or just going all out for the NA tuning route, and basically replicating a lot of the mods youve listed. Arguably i should start with the RTAB/engine mounts/coilovers/bbk etc first.

Where abouts are you based? Would love to see/hear it - maybe at a meet?

Thanks, yeah the guy before me was nuts to spend what he did on it! I plan on going to the track day that Beedub is organizing so will happily take anyone out in it then.
 
Presumably it's the GruppeM, manifold/exhaust setupm flywheel and cams that add the power to yours? Not sure what impact a paddle clutch has (dont know much about that?).

Probably should of upped my cams when i had the chance with my followers :|
 
Cams do give it more oomph top end but I think it's the supersprint manifold y pipe and power loops that make the most difference. It's a very well designed system. The paddle clutch won't affect performance it's designed to take more power and bite sooner for quick launches.
 
Got my calipers back from being refurbished and managed to get them all fitted today. I will leave the joy of bleeding them for tomorrow though! I went for interlagos blue and plan on tying them into the car with more colour coded bits and pieces.







 
Well just as you start to make plans someone goes and buys it! Treat her right Tom and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
 
So who bought it - was it someone on the forum? Your ///MC first came up for sale many years ago not long after I bought mine and I wished I'd waited for it as at the time mine was largely OEM. Good luck with your next purchase :thumbsup:

it was a lovely car and I wont have anything near that sort of level again because I have used the sale to clear my debts. It will be replaced though!
