Eeek, I'm amazed at those prices. They've got an Opel Manta on that site for £25k and another for £100k so I wonder if you're right, and what do they actually sell for in the end.
I read that all future ///M cars will feature forced induction..possibly 6 cylinders but not necessarily straight 6
Due to the fact BMW ragard saving weight to be an ever increasing factor in sports car design
Does it sound like i know what im talking about? Well thats what it said 8)
Hi thanks for all the replys some good advice. Im swaying more towards the m coupe at the min i think. The running costs dont bother me too much as ive just come from a shogun evolution and i averaged about 12-15 mpg!! and most parts for it cost a small fortune. Also the m performance grabs me more too its just the look of the new z4 from the front is stunning. At the moment im going to see what deals i can get at christmas i think unless the right car comes along
i would go MCoupe without even thinking about it, looks way better than the new Z..And the fact its an 'M' makes it an excitng propostion in my opinion. The side profile of the M or even the coupe is brilliant.
Depending on how you use the car the performance of the new one will be more than enough and with that you will have the amazing new interior (ours are looking decidedly dated), hard roof (although NO boot with roof down!) and people like me will look at your new Z jealously...
As others have said though, test drive them back to back, they really are not the same car.
Good point on the interior of the new one, especially with the ivory white package! Makes you feel as though you are in something like an Aston, actually better! One of the cars I tested was the new M3 coupé and the interior of that felt quite average in comparison, and that's the view I would mainly get when driving!
I'm starting to like the new Z4-apart from the boot. I need to be able to go away for a week with Mrs in the car and all the baggage. Not sure about the drive and power its feels posh but I need something sporty not necessarily posh. the only model i would get is the sdrive35i closest to the M. I read on EVO about ACS tweaking to 360-70bhp, which would be great. But I think to have owned M car- nothing beats it.
Its hard to compare them both without test driving them.
I don't think you can really compare them to be honest. Want a hard edged sports car, get the M, want a performance GT, get the 35i. For most drives on real roads the 3.0i would be plenty fast enough to be honest.
