To be fair though, AUC means nothing really. If you are worried about warranty, buy a warranty as the AUC warranty is not the same as the original warranty either. A car as above will not be touched by the dealer, they would just add the warranty to it and market it in the showroom. Probably would not even wash it ...

I didn't think they would as it doesn't have a main dealer S/H.

Ah, you got a point there as I would lose interest then as well. You can forget about dealer goodwill which I have had on my 740 before.

Main Dealers would still take without main dealer service history, even missing service history. I know as my last one had been serviced by the owner (supposedly) not recorded and was overdue by 8 months. I rejected it after finding this out.

As PVR said, AUC means nothing.

That your opinion and not everyone will experience what happend to your car.

In my eyes AUC means a minimum of a years warranty and a place to take it back to should anything disastrous happen.

A gentle reminder that this is a For Sale thread, not one for quibbling over AUC opinion.

I would start a new thread!

Last day of "forum only" advert. Ie. it's going on piston heads tomorrow.

In the spirit of the forum I'll reduce the asking price to £17995 if that makes it any more tempting. It will be on PH time for £18k.

Best regards,
Dan

Dan, have to say, seems a bit nuts, to me, to be selling a perfectly good 25K car and speculating on MCoupe prices, but good luck anyway.

Thanks for your thoughts. In reality, the difference in the mileage between the two cars is in effect 5 years worth of my usage. Means I can run the new one for 5 years and even then it'll only have 25k on it, which appeals to me.

If I have to keep both for 6 months then so be it! It means I can continue to use my current one and keep the new one off the road :)

Cheers,
D

I would say it's very over priced.

First rule of selling- it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

A top car deserves a good price... Go and buy a 50k dog that's had more paint than the Forth Road Bridge, and you'll still pay £15k for it.. £2.5k more for half the miles, great spec and MINT car doesn't seem out of the question for a collector like myself.

If it had Red leather with Piano Black interior, on a 57 - 08 plate car from a dealer with warranty maybe.
Good luck with the sale.
