Looking increasingly like I will be joining the M brigade. Wanting to get some advice from owners on here about important flaws to keep an eye out for or other general buying advice.

Search function not working properly at all for me, probably my shitty laptop!

Thanks fellas!

Apart from broken springs, worn brake discs I think maintenance is the key, for me not neccesserily main dealer, but on time with the correct oil and OEM filters, glwts

Cheers Darren, looking to get a bit of knowledge on these before I make any decisions. I have £10.5k to spend, that should do the job, shouldn't it lads?

Maybe a higher mileage example, not seen too many at that kind of money, but you never know, I'm sure we"ll keep our eyes peeled

Been keeping an eye on the forum sales and there have been some absolute bargains to be had there! Within my price range and mileage not too high. Although I would rather not, if it doesn't look feasible financially, I could well opt for a non M Z4 coupe in the mean time.

Morning Phil, good luck with the search. I think you are right that there have been a couple of very well priced M's on here I think at least one ended up going into the trade.
I managed to get a grey Mr from a member with 45k mileage for 10.5 and all seemed good but its service was nearly due and from that found the rear spring had snapped which wasn't a huge surprise but had hoped they were ok. Anyway along with a couple of other minor things its going to be pushing £11.5k once ive got all the bits done that I want, not that all are essential but i want to get it right. I think 11.5 is still reasonable for what will be a decent car all sorted and shouldn't be wanting for anything for a long time but not the bargain it may initially appear! I'm happy enough and had been expecting to pay 12+ so I've still done ok!

Afternoon Liam, thanks for letting me know about your M Roadster purchase. I am beginning to think that I need to delay my purchase of the M Roadster until early next year in order to make sure I have the right money in place to make sure I get what I am looking for, not just taking what I can afford.

I am a bit impulsive when it comes to changing cars, so I want to change now, but maybe just need to wait a bit longer.

Reviving an old thread, but just wanted to double check of any issues before I take the plunge on a Z4 M Coupe.

Anything major to look out for?
