Hi Guys

Having to sell my Z4 M Coupe to fund a business purchase. I had a buyer who left a deposit with me but they changed their mind after me holding the car for two weeks.

So I'm on here hoping to find a buyer. Here is the pistonheads link to save me typing up everything twice. It's a really nice car with nothing to hide, viewing welcome. Discount will be given to people not messing about

Some good info on the advert but as a potential buyer I'd find it a bit confusing that you state that you want to sell to help fund a new business purchase but then have a Ferrari or Lambo listed as possible PX's, or are they part of your new business?
I also think you need a lot more photos showing the car in all its glory especially as you've got 'director of photography' in your signature.

did notice that as it makes you wonder alittle... id remove the funding business bit...
 
I have tried to remove the P/X information about five times but the system isn't having it!

Originally was going to sell the car to buy something a bit flasher, but have decided to be sensible this year (hence the confusion).

I'll have another crack at the PH system.
 
Some constructive comments hopefully....

I'd add the dates of your recent services. You start with including the running in service and the first oil service (which was 6 months or so too late) and then you don't provide the dates for the later (and more important) services. So a potential buyer who is clued up on the maintenance history these cars need to have will think "well the first oil service was late and I've no idea if the others were on time or not".

I also think the photos are still average at best. You are asking a full price for the car so it needs to be photographed in pristine condition yet the seats look a bit grubby and there's not a single photo where I can think to myself "wow that car is in fantastic condition - I need to go and look at that one". Your photos look a bit half-hearted, like someone who can't be arsed and yet wants a great price. Have a look at some photos people have posted on here after they've detailed their car and you'll see what I mean.

Looks like a nice car but you are asking nearly £20K i.e. top money for an 8 year old it needs to be pristine if you aren’t going to be bid down hard. £100 invested to get the paint defects sorted by a specialist, same for a pro valet and some proper photo's will be well worth the investment.

I can't see what all the fuss is about. Car looks nice to me (obvious bias from here). I might baulk at the seat colour but that's just me and not something the seller can do much about in present circumstances. Advert gives some good info, maybe the pictures are a little curious but in the scheme of things, it's (don't shoot me...) just another car for sale ad. If you were a serious viewer/purchaser, you'd put it on the list of cars to see and get talking to the owner to find out more about it.
How many pages would the thread be if this forum was to establish what the "perfect ad" would be and cover? Each to his own.

FWIW I have been trying to book the car in with a local specialist to get it detailed for weeks, but between work, the weather, the valeter's schedule and the people who want to look at the car (of which there are several) it is tricky. I know the seats are marmite and that's almost certainly the reason it hasn't sold yet - I'm not actually worried it hasn't sold either?

Also the price is there to give me wiggle room. I have learned that no matter how reasonably priced a car is, everyone wants some money off. Or they want something done. I'm reasonable.
 
Looks good to me and price good for mileage. I've got identical car except leather is extended on to dash with Phoenix piping, really brightens interior up, needs to be seen in the flesh to appreciate it. :thumbsup:
