Well I have now owned the Z4 for around 6 weeks and I still cant get rid of the grin on my face every time I drive it. That is despite my first set of bills that have come with the car.
I was not to happy with the feeling of the brakes they felt a bit soft to me so a quick trip upto my Uncles garage in Chester at the weekend for a full brake service the discs were in good condtion but the pads had seen better days so they were all replaced. The car instantly felt better so I was enjoying the drive back to Nottingham even more !! That was until the dreaded run flat light came on :-(
I stopped off to check the tyres and all the pressures seemed fine. Except for one of the rears that I could get no reading off or put any air in. The valve looked bent so off to my local tyre place on Sunday in the hope that I just needed a new valve. I am sure you can see whats coming, yes the valve was bust but there was also a nice large nail in my tyre that I must of picked up on the journey back from Chester. Saddly the tyre was beyond repair so I had to replace it. Id of liked to change all of the tyres for none run flats to be honest but they were all in good conditon with loads of life in them so just replaced the damaged one.
Any way the car once again feels great to drive and I am a happy man. Now I just need to pray for a dry weekend to give it a good clean again
