Z4 is put away =(

Haha thanks Enfield! But most of my posts are off topic and I fear I would just be making a nuicance of myself if I were to let myself go.

So I lurk and peep and spy and creep around until I see something I can, errr, "contribute" to.

Also, I heard that AJ shaves his fluffy dice 'cause all the girls think it's kewl.

Plus it makes his joystick look bigger.

look at those perfectly aligned wheels.

Wow. Guess I shoulda bought a Kia - then my wheels would have lined up all the time.

Crummy bimmers can't even come close

You mean... this M?

Your wheels are pretty close to aligned, Rick. Try to do better next time eh?

Oh and by the way - I lost one of my headlight washer covers today. Lost. Just fell off all by itself. It will cost me $100 to have it replaced. Not covered under warranty because I could not show them the original part. Plus a week of driving around with a gaping hole in the bumper.

That's BS about them charging you for the replacement. My stealer didn't even bat an eye when I told them about my lost cover. I could have pried it off and it wouldn't have mattered. Get in touch with BMW AUS (1800 813 299) and let them know about this. Gee... you paid AU$100k for the car. The least they can do is replace a piece of plastic. :x

^^^ The American sure know how to assemble them, eh, my commie friend :poke:

You know, looking at the bit of plastic that the cover clips onto, it's not an assembly issue but a design issue. If the clips don't engage right, it would fall off straight away. No I think it might be a tolerance thing, where the clip can work its way loose over time.

And just because I refuse to vote in our "compulsory" elections - does that make me a commie? Better dead than red? I think not.

Geez you are a champion, Rick! I'll take a printout of that thread and any others I can find to my sales manager and see what he has to say about that. I owned a Ford a few years back and 2 plastic covers on the front bumper (where you might have fog lamps on a different model) fell off and were lost. I also had to pay for them - the dealer citing the same lame excuses about my not having the original part.

BMWs should be on a higher standard. But I guess sometimes less is more. Hope you can get it sorted out your way. :)

Finally put my Z4 in storage. Today Chicago got hit with its first snow storm so I will be driving my Subaru AWD. I can not wait until Spring. Going from a Z4 to Subaru is very humbling.

While I do not formally put my Z4 away, I find that I just drive it a lot less in the winter months, particularly when there is a lot of sand and salt on the road.
