Which tt did you get MK1 or MK2 ? love mine :driving:

Mk2 i had a mk1 before but the mk2 is much better although i got the fwd so it likes to spin on the front wheels .nice and light compared to the 4wd the 2.0tfsi is exellent.

Looks great & a quick car mapped , 230bhp ? V6 is the one for me though , must ne my age
Great interiors as well , seats are terrific , enjoy it before coming back to a Z

Yes great interiors and nice seats in the tt yes and must love that electric spoiler i like the fixed spoiler's but that takes the charm away. I will not be going back to the z4 as good as the car it is i can not settle for 2 seater for long and knew i would sell it on . as i like to have the 4 seats incase. Ocd maybe as i hardly use 4 seats now even tho they small i got that room there. The tt s tronic is a very nice drive and the gearbox is brilliant. Plus you can do launch control. Had one for a while but wanted the manual as a little better on the fuel for the way i drive.

Looks great, the TT mk2 is a great looking car, especially in that colour. Remap too, niiice.

Thanks guys. I would of normally said grey or white is my favorite but i actually would of preffered red as that is what colour i had in the s tronic version . It had windows. Rs4 Wheels. Spoiler and mirrors all blacked out and looked stunning it really stood out but the grey is very nice . Red would of been my choice.

That is a very nice looking one, great colour.

Never driven one, so no idea what they are like.

Greeting looking TT and love the colour.
I'm thinking of getting a mk2 TTS for the wife so any advice or opinions would be grateful.
Don't worry guys and girls I'll still be keeping my E89 Zed :driving:

Main downfalls on the tt but as a petrol head you can live with them if you like the cars.

Noisy engines not the quietest and diesel like start up.
road noise can be bad very sensitive car so must be carefull of the size of the wheels and tyres as road noise can be pretty bad.

Spoiler wont bloody stay up all the time if i want it to as it drops back down below a certain speed even when you use the manual overide button.

Slightly delayed reaction on the steering i find where the z4 is so instant and spot on.

Rattles these are known for them although mine is pretty good there is a slight one i can not find.

No button on the boot so must be done with key or inside of car not a major but still.

Tail pipes are crap and not the shiniest type they dont have much going on the z4 you can botice and buff up tthe tt hides a bit. Mine is the twin pipe on the one side.
the single pipes on both sides looks a bit better.

I am no expery on the tt but overall they are suppose to be pretty reliable.

If its a long drive check the engine oil as some are known to use oil.

Pre 2010/11 are cambelts then the engines wer revised with a chain and around 10bhp more and suppose to be better mpg. I would of liked this engine myself but spending cash i had a limit. Not 100% when they including the led drl type front lights could be the same.

Common things are saggy leather seats, noisy/failing window regulators, knocking steering racks & poor connections to rear lights, making them dim.

Otherwise normal things to check like the turbo is kicking in nice and strong and should pull from low down. No apparent turbo smoke coming from the pipes.
if it has the bose sound system make sure it works perfectly as the amps are expensive and known for going as they are located in the rear passenger panel and can get damp and moisture damaging it. So if you have the bose and it works get some sealent around it like a wax/sealent ect

The tts is the same engine obviously beefed up not sure if anything extra to look for .

I would like to race a tts now mine is mapped. I reckon mine is around the 230bhp as i had no upgrades just a remap and the tts being 4wd will sap some power so would like to see the difference. And yes i know a tts remaped would leave me for dust. :)
hope i helped a little
