Seriously, you will not get the value of the hardtop as a package - for the majority its just a nice-to-have extra. The stealers usually give it zero on part-ex, thats how I got mine cheap, from a disgruntled buyer (theres novel!).

The £850 offer you got for it on ebay was a good one- i'd have taken it. That would also knock nearly a grand off what you need for the car.....

you'll definitely get more if you split the hardtop, I got mine for free with the car.

Sorry but it always makes me laugh when I read adverts with things like:

"This your opportunity to own possibly the best Z4 around!!!

Nice spec. good colours etc. but really - it's a 5 year old pre facelift 2.2 about to go to its 5th owner.

Good luck with the sale and agree with others - split the hardtop and make more overall.

to be fair you should get £12k for that car id say, not exactly high mileage and although im not a fan of the wheels plenty are, and if your also throwing in a 2nd set of wheels that should make someone a very happy z4 owner. but i suppose selling the car for £10k plus the top @ £850 plus wheels your over £11k anyway

again though, why include them in the sale?

split them and sell seperately, no one is going to want a second set of wheels other than to sell.

I did think the same as cj10jeeper about the advert, but I bit my tongue. I spent ages looking for mine and wanted to get the right one for the right money.

You want the whole advert to be honest, exaggerating the worth of options etc would personally make me click the next button straight off. I luckily got the roof with mine but the price wasn't higher, a second set of wheels wouldn't have meant anything to me except the fact I'd have had to sell them at a later date (plus can you even fit a second set in the car with a better half in the passenger seat?).

good luck with the sale though :)

"MUST BE SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" so dramatic!!!!111!!111oneoneone

and what's with the note at the bottom? This guy sounds like a tool!

I wouldnt buy this car based on the fact I'd actually have to meet this guy. No offence :P

yeah ill agree its over the top, what about some bidder who wants it and bids the asking price in the last 30 seconds, but as they did not contact the seller they get their bid deleted?? seems odd to me, as ebay always tends to be last minute, and yes the roof/wheels should be sold separate to get the asking price.

Lol so much wrong with the advert, where do you start?

Please dont bid last thing in an attempt to outbid each other on this auction website.

:fightwall:

The wheels are listed as stainless steel when the manufacturer's own site lists them as an aluminium alloy.

The fact that there is no reserve means the highest bidder is the winner - and you'll be lucky if they don't report you for failing to complete. (although I assume most people know it's very difficult - but not impossible - to legally force a seller to sell if they withdraw it purely to avoid selling it).

The whole advert just comes across as insincere to me, which in my opinion is the most important thing when buying anything, especially when it costs £10k. I'd be removing the 'best Z4 ever' bit, and maybe the auction ending thing. I'd also split the bits and bobs out as I'm 100% sure you'll get more if you do.

jeeeeez.. give the guy a break !

tough crowd.. :tumbleweed:

i agree it's not the best advert in the world, but not everyone is an ebay genuis / car salesman.

despite all the negativity, good luck with the sale!

ahhh, well thanks for your support

I may split if it does not sell but i'd sooner try and do it all together. Someone may want it all, I know I did!
Don't forget some dealers are asking way more than me for ones with higher miles and worse spec! The price is obviously negotiable. As for my comments, it is like new condition-why get so upset about it? I have not seen a nicer looking non M z4 around? It's all opinion gents, relax!

PS anyone interested in any parts?

I'd take the wind deflector if you split it :)

If you can chisel out those xenons too...

you'll seriously get a lot more money splitting the hardtop and wheels etc :)

Got to agree - its upfront and grabs attention, and its a nice looking car at a fair price IMHO, especially with all the extras - don't know what people are getting so wound up about - good luck!
