Just bought a set of cjautos hydraulic ramps CR01 900kg Check vid on their website, ramps are low enough to drive on without fouling any bodywork.
Ramps lift bottom of tyre 16 inches above ground giving great access to underside of car, just connect both ramps to foot pump and up she goes, flick over two levers to lock and then hydraulics can be relaxed and pump removed if desired. Axel stands under front side jacking points for safety.
Car has been up on ramps for a week now and I have removed front plastic cover under rad and alloy reinforcement further back for clean and inspection and a bit of wax oiling. Both covers have now been re fitted and after cleaning protruding thread have carefully loosened plastic nuts on long plastic channel cover which protects brake lines and electrics that go to rear of zed, removal of this cover will be a nice project for tomorrow and allow some preservation work.
I will delete Clutch delay valve shortly as this is easy to get at.
Tip. to stop ramps moving when driving onto them I have bolted a length of 40mm x 5mm angle iron to the floor with two rag bolts in front of ramps which can be removed in two mins.
Any future work under car will be a dawdle.
Cheers all Baz
