Z4 Heads Up Display

What do you think of the heads up display on my Z4. Even matches the orange illumination of the other dials. Pretty neat I reckon. Apologies for the shaky photo.

The gadget show made one of these a couple of years ago using a CD case and other parts from memory, but guessing this isnt that method.

Is it actually mounted and fully functional.

Busted !!!!!! Yes its an iphone app (aSmart HUD +Speedcams). Works perfectly thou off GPS giving almost perfect speed data and picking out static speed cameras with plenty of warning (flashes and beeps). It sits well behind the binacles out of view and is actually very visable while driving.

It will probably amuse me for all of a week as most apps do.

The iphone sits on the dash. The screen reflects against the windscreen. Simples. And yip pissed is the word so pass me another Jack Daniels hic

I don't care if it is just an iPhone app-that's COOL. I've driven some of the BMWs with heads up and I like it very much. Sure wish it were an option on all their cars.

got this on mine now...good little app even if you dont use it as HUD.

I had a Corvette with HUD and really liked it.....surprised it hasn't become more common.

:rofl: :rofl: no we weren't in a carpark. We were driving back from eating at a pub and saw a car with the lights on in the middle of nowhere....well it may have been parking lights, I can't quite remember.
