I have had my Z4 for a couple of months. All is great except the run flats which I do not like and are changing. Only other disappontment is the headlights which seem poor. Any advise on different bulbs etc. would be appreciated
I take it you have halogens? If so, people seem to favour Osram Nightbreakers or Phillips bulbs. Another option is use your headlight beam adjuster to raise the beam slightly although if your car is due for an MOT they may well reset it.
P.S. I'm not forum-stalking you. I just happen to click on your two posts one after the other!
Are we talking about the same car!? Or do you have xenons? Quite a few people have been critical of the standard halogen setup. Can't say I've ever been too bothered but have bought a set of Osram bulbs from eBay to complement the new headlights.
To be honest I find the xenons on my Zed far less bright than on my previous Citroen C5. I think they might be beaming a bit high so will have that checked on the upcomming service but still.... not that impressed.
Thanks for all the replies. Car has Xeons plus halogen full beam. You all seem OK with your car's headlamps so I must investigate further. For me one of the worst lights I have ever had. (excluding pre halogen days). Bit of a surprise for a BMW

Halogens are crap and the only real way to correct is to adjust the height. If you have OEM Xenons then I'm not sure what the problem is as I've not seen anybody complain about them before.
