Z4 Gone - Bits for Sale

Have just sold my Z so have a few bits up for sale. If you have any offers / questions or want bigger pics please let me know.

4 CSL Reps, 18 inch, Shadow Chrome. Fitted with Falken 452s. Bought from BM Autosport in December 2011. Tyres have plenty of tread left. Great condition, very very minor kerbing on one alloy. Rears wider than the fronts (255 vs 225). Offset slightly more than the standard alloys so they fill the arches of the car, but no rubbing.
£450 collected.

Might be interested in the bike rack, any pics of it fitted and also with a bike on it? Can it only hold a single bike? Fit a roadster??

Start the 'bike on the back of a Z4' flaming now...

I had it fitted to a coupe and carried two mountain bikes on it surprisingly securely. I was shocked at how solid it was. I don't have any pics I'm afraid and I'm not entirely sure it would fit a roadster but given how universal it seems, i don't see why not!

In terms of the way it sat on my coupe, the number plate and lights were unobscured. the bikes almost seemed to sit on the rear window with the wheels floating just above the lights if you were following it.

It's pretty bulky and awkward, I could arrange for a secure courier via one of those couriers where you drop it at a newsagent rather than via royal mail etc.

I had the iPod located in the cubby whole storage behind the armrest. Dremeled a hole big enough to poke through the purple connector.

I then connected it up to the cd changer connection located in the bulkhead behind the carpet's in the boot.

The box effectively takes over the cd changer function and can display track names etc on the professional head unit. You can search through playlists, albums etc.

Based just outside Redhill in Surrey. Or am in Wimbledon a lot of the time.

Whats the ride like on the CSLs compared to say 108s on Runflats? Interested!

It's like a brand new car in my opinion, no tram-lining or harsh bumps (not saying it irons out everything as the Z is very stiff anyway).

Having swapped back to my MV2s on Bridgestone runflats just prior to getting rid of it, I think it's criminal that BMW fit runflats to any car, let alone a sports car.

What's the tyre tread like in terms of MM? Quite hard to see from the pics. Thanks

The tyre I showed was one of the rears, there is at least 5mm across 80% of the rear tyres. The fronts have at least 7mm across the tyres. Had them fitted last December and have covered about 7-8k on them.

I will try and get some better pics of the rears and a front posted up soon.

Would you send the CSLs via courier?

If you wanted to arrange / point out (I wouldn't have a clue who would courier these) and pay for a courier. I don't see why not.

Alloy wheel courier if it helps anyone.

Is yours the same one as being sold? Not sure how it would fit a coupe and a roadster as I would've thought the mounting/contact points would be different due to the shape of the boot?

Thanks

Do you still have the iPod connector for sale? Is it quite easy to fit? Is there anything else needed for it to work?

Yes still for sale.

Relatively easy to fit. Depends how easy your carpet comes up in the boot. Mine was fine once I worked out which bit overlapped the other.

Alternatively you should be able to fit it to the cd changer connection on the back of the headunit and thread it into the glovebox.
