Z4 G29 Delivery Delays

Hi All
Had the car for just over 2 weeks now and it was worth the wait, had the Gtechniq Platinum ceramic coating applied, the sapphire black looks fantastic, the paint surface is really smooth, very easy to wash (1 so far).
This weekend the weather is looking good so hope to do a few more miles, it's great to get back to open top driving.
Couple of pictures attached.
For those waiting, it will be worth it....

[ref]ori[/ref], Did you take a taxi to the curb mate?

Alloys cost more than taxis. ;)

Was just picking up my son so wasn’t parked. Just took a quick photo to show off the shine from the ceramic coat. ;)

Of course, ceramic coated red is better. :P

Feeling pretty sick this morning.

Latest update email that landed this morning - for a Z4 M40i ordered at start of September '21...

...build now scheduled from July. (So I am presuming delivery August - although given the current pattern, I'm being put back every month). I just don't understand how folks have been getting these cars through before me.

At this rate, should arrive just in time for the snow. Gutted as I had planned to drive around in Europe in it.

Gutted. Gutted. Gutted. And somewhat :x I know I said that I was somewhat relaxed about it all... but I didn't expect a near on years delivery day time - neither was that expectation set in the slightest.

So yeah, can confirm that white is definitely the slowest colour. Especially when it comes to delivery time. :headbang:

Last update on mine was due to be build week 12 and now pushed out until approx week 20 due to wiring harness supplies.
So I guess we are stuck in the same predicament. Mine was due for delivery in March... (although now it looks like I'm pushed out to some time between week 27 and 30)

Are you pushing them for some sort of goodwill, eg a three year service plan thrown in?

I'd also be asking how cars ordered after yours are already with their owners.

On my order (not a BMW), they just keep saying that I can cancel (especially as I had arranged a big discount in August when I ordered). No goodies or anything for that matter.

No build date either, not even approx.

This is the thing - the dealers are in a win, win situation. If you cancel, they'll have lost nothing because they can then sell on a car (when it does arrive) at well above list price.

I doubt there's any point - as above.

It just so happens my experience with this garage has been terrible. This isn't making me feel any better about the BMW experience. I've never had a good one. (Yes, wrong number plates fitted, damaged cars whilst in for service, I also had a BMW that caught fire too with all that malarky. I just seem to never have a good BMW experience).

The cars being with other owners before me... It'll no doubt be down to "depends upon the allocated slots etc".

Also I'd feel a bit awful given the fact that it's what's happening in Ukraine that is likely the culprit.

This is just so rubbish, so sorry you are continually being delayed.
