Ally, just to update you - should be camping. Kirsty has agreed to give it another shot as long as I buy an airbed
Buy an airbed? What did you guys sleep on last time?!!

Agree with Richard - 2 singles are a better option than 1 double airbed.

Rollmats! What can I say - she likes her little luxuries!

Probably wasn't helped by the fact that I slept uphill of her and kept on rolling down in my sleep. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Ah, so what you mean you slept on top of Kirsty last time?

I don't even have to bring a tent as I've just bought one of THESE and THESE. Incredibly small packed down, would probably fit in the glovebox of the Z4. Err, no I think I'll have a bit more comfort! But I got those for a few overnighter trips into the hills on my MTB...

I'll forward these to Kirsty and see what she thinks. If you don't hear from me again, you'll know why!

Yep, I wasn't intending that as a suggestion! Very hardcore compared to the approx 6" thick airbeds Jo and me have for "car-camping". That one I linked to was bought purely due to it's pack size and low weight for carrying in a backpack when I'm mountain-biking. I think our airbeds came from Argos...

Ok, update from me.
Mrs Nosa definatly not joining us this time, However I do have a M8 who is keen as mustard to come along.

Need a link for a house tent like Richard had :?

we might be getting a new one if we do you are more then welcome to use the old one. Biggest question would be how much do you want to spend on one. check out the websites of Vango lichfield as a start point or loads of choice here.

Outdooraction.co.uk - I'm sure they could have come up with a better name than that! I think I might be getting a wee email from IT about visiting that sort of website in work... ;)

I must be mad!!!!!!I've just had to turn down 3 months work in the Phillipines to try and make this run.
Hopefully there will be no midges, for those torn between camping and the Hotel, get a tent it won't be as far to walk from the huge BBQ just start praying now for good weather. :)
oh and the small matter of a family weddingto attend and a Rugby Club reunion  . Looks like I'll have to settle for 8 weeks in Brazil. It's a hard life :D

Do you work offshore?

No, I offer technical support in the Installation, commissioning and servicing of liquid packing lines within the food industry, specialising in machines made by a Swedish company, whose owners live in the UK to avoid Swedish taxation.

Nice one Malc

I really should've said that already: ANYONE WHO'S PLANNING ON STAYING AT THE HOTEL SHOULD REALLY THINK ABOUT BOOKING THEIR ROOM SOON!

Camping: no need to book (no procedure for it anyway)

Ferry: watch this space...

Tonight I'll try and work out the driving time and what ferry we should aim for - don't want to rush the driving, don't want to suggest too early a start, but also want to reach Skye at a decent time to allow some exploring. Once I know that it'll be up to everyone to book themselves a space on the ferry to avoid a repeat of last time...

I've just updated the first post in this thread with the ferry info...

EVERYONE WHO'S GOING: YOU MUST BOOK YOUR FERRY IN ADVANCE
- DETAILS OF HOW AND WHAT FERRY TO BOOK ARE IN THE FIRST POST
- BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL :poke:

I'm just away to book mine...

SIR, YES SIR :whip: was £29 'ish for Car + 2 passengers.

Would have done it earlier but was watching the rugby ( )

Sorry, just making sure I didn't cock it up like last year!

(we all turned up, not having booked as I'd been advised by the ferry folk that it wasn't necessary, only to find out the next available ferry spaces weren't until the next morning!)

Oh, and don't mention the rugby, typical scottish performance

All booked  ,
Guessing they send the ticket out at a later date? or did I miss something in the bumf?

As for the rugby just watching the Scottish game now, A11y all I can say is c'mon England :!: especially as I've just found out I'll be travelling to Tunsia when England / Scotland meet at Twickenham.

And summer's here :!: hardtop off roof down efffing freezing and Bike racing back on TV, World Supersport first 3 riders across the line covered by 0.033 secs, awesome race and more action in 21 laps than entire season of processional boring F1 :poke:
