Group buy would be good, but I don't think places like Maplin and Amazon tend to do them!
 
10km range?! Think mine are only half that. Seem OK to me, you'd probably get away with less range i.e. cheaper 2-ways than that but I guess the extra range might be useful.
 
In real world terms I think it's a lot less than 10km. I have plenty of time so will try and get a cheaper pair :thumbsup:
 
Sounds a laugh JP - if you want a co investor - I'm in for 50% - and won't even claim frequent ownership rights ! i.e. I'll go halfers if you like !

Cheers Jack! I've been looking around on Amazon and think I might go for these ones as they're a good bit cheaper. Range isn't as good, but I doubt I'll be more than a mile or two in front of you slow coaches anyway :poke:

Well it looks as if I'm going to have to officially bail from this one. The very thin thread I was hanging onto in the hope of making was broken today. I'm flying home on Saturday morning I had hoped this current trip would get extended by a couple of weeks which would have worked perfectly as I have things planned towards the middle / end of June it means I have to take any work that comes my way in the meantime and to that end it now appears as if I could be flying to Tunisia on the 13th.

Have a great run guys and if anything changes I'll let you know.

thanks JP but I have a tennis match in Bishopton tomorrow night - I know on a friday night ! - I might give it a go Sat morning - but know you're working. I'm kinda in 2 minds now as to whether I have time before Applecross or even after that before we head to Europe on 8th June - I'm going to try to speak to RoyalSteeringWheels to get a clearer timescale.
 
I'll have the spare handset of my pair if you want to borrow that for the trip Steve? Think you had it for the Islay trip and it worked "OK" from memory...
