Z4-forum weekender: Applecross/Scotland - 18-20th May 2012!

That sounds very promising - well found Nosa. I intended amending the route this week to amend our return leg via the Stromeferry/closed road even if it was limited/convoy access: with Stromeferry being fairly close to Applecross we could time our arrival with one of the convoy time windows. But with this info I might hold off again...

To compound route issues there's major roadworks north of Stirling Services on the M9. Caused us considerable delay at the weekend so debating a change of start venue (I've got another good one in mind), not sure what delay there'd be at the times we're talking about though. I'll PM everyone (nooooooo!!!!) in the next couple of weeks.

:)

Just a slight word of warning on convoy driving....

Two photos from a friend's face book page this weekend.

A wee bit later he was cruising along minding his own business when someone overtook and this happened right in front of him:

Anyway, enough of the gloomy stuff :D

Don't move that starting point too far Ally. It's very convenient where it is thank you!

Don't worry - I can tell you all about an experience on a car club meet that's far, far worse than that... Will save it for the pub on Fri night!

Scary pics cj. Everyone's worst nightmare on a meet :o

Saying that, these Impreza drivers... :fuelfire:

Something similar has already happened on one of our forum meets so definitely take care out there.
Did some one forget to read Spokeys cruise etiquette :?

If his etiquette mentions not dumping your car into a field - yes!
I believe that was driver error, not driving with poor ettiquette! :D

As long as folk drive sensibly then forum runs should never be cause for concern. I'm sure I'm not alone in that if I see someone driving like a cock, I'll happily tell them they're driving like a cock!

Im pleased to say that I've never seen any questionable driving on any forum meets. We always drive sensibly, within the speed limits, and according to road conditions. Sadly accidents do happen though :(

I have seen a few very dodgy manouvers on forum meets, I wont mention any names, One of them caused a very understanbily pissed off driver to deliberatly cause the other zeds to be slowed right down and prevented anyone else from overtaking him, luckily the zeds following understood the drivers frustration and backed right off him.

Lets hope we are all not tempting fate for this Applecross run with all this 'driver error' and 'dodgy manoeuvre' talk :headbang:

As long as you don't keep on egging me on to overtake, I'm sure it'll be fine :poke:

Lets find out if Tempting fate works..........

Lets not hope I win the lottery this weekend..... :poke:

I really hope I don't win either. In the nightmare scenario that I do win, I'll still come to this meet ;)

I've just sold my house - that feels like winning the lottery.... :driving:
If I come to Applecross - the drinks are on me!

Would be good to meet you Malc, your photogaphy skills could come in handy (I hear you are very good?) as sadly my photography skills are lacking

Hope you can make it
