Quick sneak peak of a shot I took (seen as I did post the picture of the pringles tube he made us drive down yesterday, he's one showing his beautiful coupé in a worthy environment).

Great meet. Shame I couldn't stay for Sunday, but really enjoyed 2 nights and a great days driving.

Thanks to Craig and John as usual for their efforts. I even won something in the raffle, so can't be bad...

The joy of a soft top - 29c, roof down on the motorway all the way home...

Yes, Phil...a good prize too..and if you don't think you will use it, i know another forum member who would gladly take it off your hands (as Jim came up to get a prize after you and was sad to see it have gone, lol)...and after me not being able to interest any1 in it 3 times!

Hope you enjoy spot-free washing/rinsing now phil :D

Glad you could make it for as long as u did, all the best

Big Thanks as always to John for helping me organise this, sorting out the routes and Batemans prize/visit, and keeping me right when needed, with some simple pointing of which turn I should be taking, while I was leading on the Sunday. Cheers :D
We even managed not to loose any1 ALL day Sunday (unlike about 3/4 times on Saturday, ha-ha), which was great.....oops, except for 2mins when Tom thought he would take half the group down a dual c/way instead of following the rest of us :poke:
Just joking, mate...was great to see you as always and your car was looking lovely as usual/
did I tell you I almost bought one practically identical to it early last year?, though couldn't pass up on the Blue Roadster I ended up buying.

Instead of replying to each Individual post/pm I will just do so on here, as taking too long.........

Thanks to all those who attended, it was good to see the regulars again and new faces too.
Sorry I didn't get round to chatting to some of you more, as the weekend feels like it flies by.

Was an absolutely awesome weekend as said...Great company, great food(hotel and bbq), Superb roads/Awesome Drives and scenery and Scorching Hot Weather...my roof was down all weekend and all the way back home, left the Campsite just after 6pm, and got home at 8.45, with a slightly different route home to the one I came down, as I decided to go and have a last wee blast down the Strathaven road and thru Galston, etc. which was fun, when some plonker in an X1 wanted to race me, haha...he made a good go of it, for about 2mins :P

Was great to meet you all and glad every1 seamed to enjoy themselves.
I hope those who won their Raffle prizes will make good use of them, as most of the Vouchers/ Car mag/BMW Car club subs have a 6month(or less) grace period/use by date...so don't delay in using them, folks.
Especially as the Articles Me&John will be doing will appear in Sept/Oct time/issues, all going well.

Look forward to seeing you all at the next one :driving:

Some great pics there folks.......I will send evry1 who came a pm with my e-mail address in it, rather than trying to delete pm's as my 5 inboxes are full...so you can send me High res (at least 1 meg) photos for the articles I am doing.

I need as many good and different ones as possible; scenery, cars, people, Campsite/bbq night, Hotel/Carpark and various points of interest and various roads and passes we took, so I can then send as many as is needed for 2 mag articles (so both not identical articles/photos)...which I then pass on to the Mag Editors and they will select what they want to put in,
NEED AS MANY AS POSSIBLE AS SOON AS IS POSSIBLE,
THANKS.

ALSO, can all those who WON RAFFLE PRIZES please POST on the thread....who won what,as I need this info too, and was too busy to keep note of who won what, Cheers :D

Just got home an hour ago (I stayed an extra night -thanks Jimbo1958 for the chat). Thanks once again for Craig and John for organising a great weekend. Craig, I won the led bulb set and headlamp bulbs :)
On Friday I was amazed that I got 45mpg on the way up, that's top down 8*mph cruise control on M40/M6 all the way. On return today after 745 miles I got 39.7mpg over the whole weekend. Not bad considering the drives on Saturday and Sunday.

Here are some pics

Some good photos, anyone care to to share the routes you guys did? :)

Saturday we did:

- Crooklands Hotel, Kendal
- Batemans BMW Lindale
- Down the A590 to Greenodd turn off towards Coniston
- A5084 to Coniston
- A593 to Ambleside
- A591 to Thirlmere
- Across the A66 to Troutbeck
- Down the A5091 dropping onto Ullswater (thats the amazing view I took with Tom's car in)
- Down the Kirkstone Pass (wonderful driving road), through Bowness and along Lake Windermere
- A590 back to Crooklands

Sunday drive i'm not 100% sure on as I've never driven it before so was just following rather than paying attention to roads, others will probably fill in but:

- Crooklands Hotel
- A65 to Ingleton
- B6255 to Hawes
- Up towards Barnard Castle
- Onto the A686 and along the Hartside Pass which is an AMAZING road.
- Down the otherside towards Penrith and the M6
- M6 back to Crooklands

Well, What another amazing time had by me. Even Mrs JDM didn't shout at me and tell my I was driving like an idiot so that's a bonus lol.

As usual, a massive thanks to John and Craig for organising such a fantastic and well organised hoon on some of the best roads in the UK.. Also an even bigger thanks for letting a traitor tag along at the back and still enjoy the run :D

So I have attached a few pics. Apologies upfront for the sheer crapness. Mrs JDM was playing camera person and the majority are lets say wobbly to say the least  Hope you don't mind me sneaking a few in of the naughty traitors rides :P

Top man JDM, good to meet you and your lovely lady.

Great to see some pictures taken from the back with Zs snaking off into the distance

Just to reiterate what all have said, many thanks to Craig and John for a great weekend. Great to meet you all am still living through it at work today. You sometimes only realise how good something was after the event rather than during. Too busy trying to hang onto the tails of the rest of you to be honest. Thanks again to all concerned. Tom please get the navi fixed for next time mate!

Finally got through all of my pics! Nowhere near Tom or Ste quality, only iPhone snaps :P

Got home at just after 2pm on Monday after staying an extra night at the campsite with bladeowner.
After the Sunday meet we watched Murray win Wimbledon, had a Chinese takeaway from "Jumbos" and some beers at the hotel before bed. And before some smart*rse suggests it....there was no Brokeback Mountain action. :D
A big big thanks again to Craig and John for their sterling work in making this yet another awesome meet.
Met some lovely folks and was nice to catch up with some I'd already met.
And how lucky was we with the weather again....what a scorcher.
Craig done a cracking job with the raffle prizes once again and I thought that it was fitting that our new member RJBaz 3.4 and his lovely wife won the first prize. For those that didn't attend they had travelled all the way from Cornwall for the meet. Fantastic.
Loved the drives both days John......thanks again mate for taking the time to organise.
Was gonna report the forrumite who trod on the ducks foot to "Rolf's Animal Rescue" but I think Rolf has other things to worry about at the moment. :D

All in all a great weekend with some lovely people. Roll on July 2014.
