Z4-FORUM NATIONAL MEET,LAKES/DALES,JULY 2012

I have now completed the 1st article,with help from JOHN/sammyz, which is main one,for the BMW CARCLUB Magazine,Straight Six...and it will hopefully be in the Sept issue of this mag/will confirm in due course.
This is a members only mag,so will post more info nearer time/re taking orders.

I will now be doing the TOTAL BMW ARTICLE for the clubscene section,though this will be a smaller article,as far as i am aware.

Thanks to Tomscott,we will also be having a wee article in the Cumbria herald...which i will be doing also :D

THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO SENT ME PHOTOS FOR THE ARTICLES/AND HOPEFULLY WE GET AS MANY DIFFIRENT ONES IN THEM AS POSSIBLE...THO IT IS UP TO THE MAGZN EDITORS....AND ANY THAT ARE MUCH BELOW 1MEG RES MAY WELL BE TOO SMALL/UNUSEABLE.

Updates......the BMW CARCLUB MAG ISSUE,WITH OUR ARTICLE,WIL BE THE SEPT. ISSUE,OUT AT END OF AUGUST/EARLY SEPT.

TOTAL BMW MAGAZINE WILL BE THE OCTOBER ISSUE,AS CONFIRMED.
THIS ISSUE WILL BE OUT AT THE START OF SEPTEMBER ALSO :thumbsup:

THE CARCLUB ARTICLE IS LARGER,AND HAVE MORE WORDS N PHOTOS,WHICH WILL BE CREDITED TO VARIOUS FORUM ATTENDEES.
TOTAL BMW MAG ARTICLE WILL BE A TAD SMALLER,BUT STIL DECENT SIZE(HOPEFULLY),AND WILL HAVE APROX A DOZEN PICS,WHICH THEY ARE CHOOSING(AND WILL HOPEFULLY HAVE CREDITS FOR WHO TOOK THEM,AS THEY ASKED FOR CAPTIONS FOR THE PHOTOS. :D
 
ALSO,I FORWARDED THE £265 WE RAISED FOR CHARITY TO CANCER RESEARCH UK,AGES AGO..BUT HAVE HAD AN UPHILL BATTLE/VARIOUS E-MAILS AND CALLS,ETC TO GET THEM TO VERIFY BY POST/E-MAIL..WHICH IM STILL WAITING FOR :headbang:

WILL CHASE UP AGAIN 2MRW/SOON..AND HOPEFULLY BE ABLE TO POST A COPY OF E-MAIL ON HERE SOON :)

I have sent ALOT of photos to the mags,but only a small % will be used,of what i sent**...so hopefully we get a good variety of pics,and everyone enjoys the articles,and hopefully qt a few will see their cars in the mags too :thumbsup:

**Editors choice,remember folks....so dont get upset if your cars not in/i sent enough pics from everwhere/every1 possible,so as to try and include more or less every car that turned up over the weekend,and i have no control over whats chosen/other than a request that at least one pic of mine and Johns cars are included;as we did the articles,lol..not even a gaurantee there,as some pics sent/taken by ppl were too low res :(

UPDATE RE CANCER RESEARCH UK DONATION...
Got a letter in today,verifying our Donation.(which i donated about 3-4weeks ago,lol).
"Dear Mr Bolton,
Thankyou very much for your kind donation of £265,which was raised by all those who attended the Z4-FORUM National Lakes and Dales meet 2012 and took part in the charities raffle."

ref no they gave ne for this is 423284867.

letter rcvd from a Simon O'Leary,Head of Volunteer Fundraising.

Craig,

This donation has added meaning to me now. My best friend (who accompanied me to Zedfest) has just been diagnosed with mouth cancer out of the blue. We are hopeful he will make a full recovery but it's been a really worrying time for him and his family.

A big to :thumbsup: to everyone who donated
 
This type of news always comes in batches :( A friend is waiting on the results of a biopsy for pancreatic cancer.
