If Top Gear can make a Triumph Herald float I'm sure I can do something with the roadster. :D

The coupes will float. Let's chuck them in the Lake :fuelfire:

Hey,we are going to have a good time,regardless...
remember,in previous years we have had plenty of sun, even when it wasnt forecast.

Even so,we will stil enjoy the company, etc, etc and i we will be visiting Batemans BMW again, plus a possible short stop elsewhere on the Saturday(if weathers too wet),plus the CHARITY RAFFLE DRAW to do;trying to raise over £200 this year..and have lots of great prizes......SEE UPDATES BELOW(NON RAFFLE PRIZES),AND ON PG.13,FOR RAFFLE PRIZES.

See PAGE 13 FOR UPDATES ON RAFFLE PRIZE DETAILS...
ITEMS 11,12 AND 13. NOW DETAILED.(AND NO.14 ADDED)

ALSO,As per last year,we will be giving away 3 "FUN" prizes,at the Saturday bbq(weather permitting),or after we have eaten.

These are as follows.....

of 1 PRIZE PER PERSON...THERE IS A TOTAL OF 17 PRIZES/GROUPS OF PRIZES...AND IF WE HAVE APROX 34-40 PPL TURN-UP,THATS ALMOST A 50-50 CHANCE OF WINNING SOMETHING :D

ALSO THIS YEAR,AND COURTESY OF TAZX,
WE WILL HAVE SOME Z4-FORUM BADGES TO GIVE TO THOSE WHO WANT THEM

Last, but not least...and courtesy of Steve @ BMW Carclub,
any z4-forum member who isnt already a member(as an incentive to join),Steve said he will reduce the 1st year membership from £45 to £40(waiving the 1st yr joining fee),AND ALSO INCLUDE 13MONTHS FOR THE PRICE OF 12 MONTHS MEMBERSHIP...Which gets u discounts on Parts/servicing,at dealers, plus a good monthly magazine(Straight Six),which is almost worth the membership cost alone.....and where the z4-forum National meet will appear in colour,in a future edtn. :)

Just quote z4-forum and my name, and ask for Steve Miller..AFTER THE LAKES N DALES MEET THOUGH

Hopefully we will get plenty of dry weather between the showers, have faith..

Could be worse, could be a TVR annual meet, all that rain, no traction control and the reliability of an Italian tank.

Just a couple of points for all those attending either Saturday or Sunday drives (or both!!!)

If you have a sat nav bring it with you as I will provide post codes for each stopping place in case you get lost. Bring a road atlas with you so you can go over the route before we set off, especially important if you are flying solo without a navigator :)

I will provide route details but past experience suggests we usually loose people anyway so you have been warned!!!

See you all Friday/Saturday/Sunday for what will be a great weekend :)

I'm going to keep a close eye on the weather. If it's forecast to hiss down on Saturday I might drop out.

As some of you may know I had a very near miss last year at 70mph (err well I think it was... ) when I hit standing water unexpectedly on a dual carriageway. Thankfully it was only pride that was damaged and a few suspension parts on the car. It was one of those moments when you think "is this it?". I'm now very wary in very wet conditions in the M and don't really fancy a hoon on roads I don't know in wet weather.

As Craig says let's hope the forecast changes and improves as we get nearer the time.

Lets hope so...this wasnt on the meet last year though/as it was Glorious Sunshine back then. I take it this was the one u had pre/post meet, original guvnor??

Don't suppose anybody has a spare seat going? Unfortunately my farther, who was also a forum member passed away earlier on in the year which meant the Z4 had to go. We were both really looking forward to coming and I would still love to come but somehow think a 1.4 Polo may struggle to keep up! So if anybody has a spare seat going it would be much appreciated and they would be quite welcome to have the OEM iPod interface I removed from the car prior to sale.

Hope somebody can help, it would be much appreciated as I would really love to join in and meet you all.

Any1 in the Manchester area with a free pass.seat??

Yes Craig - it happened just before the Lakes meet so was without the Zed for a few weeks!

I shall be there Saturday - the latest forecasts are looking a lot more encouraging. Looking forward to it now ! I'll be arriving at the Crooklands about 9.30ish Friday night so might see you lot in the bar!
