Z4-FORUM NATIONAL MEET,LAKES/DALES,JULY 2012

Already 10 people have their names down for the Friday nt dinner/bite to eat at Crooklands.

On another note,i've now updated the Raffle prize info/SEE PAGE 13 OF THIS THREAD/,as its changed slightly(non-bmw stubby and a bottle of bubbly..as a certain BMW DEALER let me down, and having trouble getting another dealer on board at the minute :headbang:

Never mind,we have some excellent prizes/donations from dealers, etc, etc who have already given, and i am still working on a couple of things/companies for more :D

Craig, I am sure you have clocked this but I won't be at dinner on Friday with Mrs Bing, birthday night out

Be in the bar later though, demanding to know if anyone has a Z4 parked up outside :D :D

Routes are set for Saturday and Sunday and I've tried to vary them a little from last year. Weather will be fine, I've cast a spell involving an ancient Celtic incantation, a chicken and three virgins, struggled finding a willing chicken though! :D

Will provide route maps on the day but given the numbers I'm trying to keep things simple and not over complicated, we'll loose people anyway, always do! For those who might worry about pace, Saturday will be more a sightseeing drive as traffic on the Lakes roads is likely to be heavy. Sunday will see us up on quieter roads and we may be able to stretch our legs a little! However, speed limits will be adhered to at all times.

Anyone who is local to the area and can act as a 'shepherd' to keep our flock in order please make yourself known to Craig or myself as we will need all the help we can get :P .

I'm camping so I'll be available for dinner at Crooklands friday night please Craig! Off to Turkey for some r & r see you in two weeks!

Looking good - I'm ready for this event now.

Can I make one small appeal on behalf of Craig.

If you say you want to be on a list and have dinner, be 100% certain or cancel well in advance. The hotel will certainly turn away other diners to accomodate us and to have several 'no shows' would be extremely embarassing. Happened last year on the second campsite where Craig reserved most of the slots and lots didn't turn up. The owner lost a lot of money turning potential campers away.

Don't want this to appear in any way heavy but it just makes it harder each time we go if we upset the various locals.

Spot on. It would also be courteous if people just coming for a drive let Craig know if they're not going to turn up so we don't all hang around waiting. I've spotted a couple of names on the attendee list who pulled this trick last year so will name and shame if it happens again!

Also I think most of us changed out of our shorts into long trousers/jeans for the meal. So remember to pack some.
Just an idea.

Weather isn't looking too great for next weekend :/

Although anything over two days then 'the met' start guessing
