Z4-FORUM NATIONAL MEET,LAKES/DALES,JULY 2012

So yep, you can see on facebook I washed, clayed, washed, waxed my baby. Unfortunately I woke up to rain soaked roads today so my love won't be looking all that clean. Ah well, it's made to be driven more than looked at.

I'm leaving in oh 30 minutes to an hour from now! 5 hour drive here I come!

Mine was all prepped the other day and been kept warm and dry. To say it will get wet in the next 3 to 4 hours is an understatement.

Leaving in an hour - see you there.

Worst of the weather looks like it will miss us on Sat / Sun. Could be wet drive home though for those south of Manchester. Anyone in Crooklands Sat Eves for a beer?

Just about to head off for Crooklands! Should be a good laugh as usual and hopefully not too much rain Sat/Sun. A few pints tonight, some warm food and a good natter

See you up there!

Post up when you get there - I'm wondering how large the lake at lakeside campsite has got :( - might have to 'downgrade' to a day-trip if it's anything like the weather we've been getting in Leeds today.

Fingers crossed we can actually see where we're going on Sat.

I'll be setting off tomorrow morning, probably still with a filthy car, I'm not washing it whilst it's raining this evening
I'm glad I changed from camping to the the hotel :P

All this rain is making me wish I had my new wheels fitted, since the tyres on them have considerably more tread... They'll be off for a refurb first though and I don't have a jack to hand either.

Crooklands booked for tonight. Tent takes 1 hour to put up. No chance in this rain :(

Will put tent up Saturday :)

See you all later - leaving about 4.30 but won't be there until 9.30 ish - i'm going via Pool-in-Wharfedale to go eat in one of the company's hostelries.

300 miles down to Halifax. No issues with headlight fogging. Parked the car up for 30 mins, now they are fogged up :headbang:

Anyone know any quick dry out techniques? Leaving them facing the sun is out of the question

Rear covers off and headlights on full beam for 15 mins or so worked a treat on mine before I renewed the seals.

I'll go first :)

it will look stupid with just 1 caliper painted

Haha well I had one replaced because it was sticking haven't got round to painting it. Too late now only just got back so a good wash will have to do.
