Z4 Forum Euro Roadtrip '10?

April/May is no good as the higher Alpine passes will still be snowbound.June is the best month as the passes are all open , and the full on holiday traffic has yet to materialise.If you go in peak summer, you'll spend all day trying to overtake motorhomes/caravans/other tourist slowcoaches and the hotels get busy.I've been to the French Alps the last 5 years on the trot on my bike and in June it's like having your own racetrack once in the mountains. Spokey's route is by far the best option, I know many of those routes,and they are amazing.
 
Just found this thread - I'm all in for a shorter trip due to a lack of holiday.

I'm definitely doing some sort of trip this year. Might even consider a few days/week in Easter school holidays - weather should still be alright on the continent and it'll be cheaper than summer.

Food for thought!
 
Anyone got any more plans? Really fancy a trip away in the car but never driven in Europe before so sure it would be better organised with you guys.
