Good morning all,

New member on here and looking for some advise if you don't mind!

I turned 20 Yesterday and bought my Z4 2.2l 04 Plate around 8 Weeks ago and love it! I wanted to add an aftermarket stereo to it (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262052308208?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) PUMPKIN 7"SINGLE DIN POP UP.

I also bought the fascia kit - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141615881447?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT which fits the connections absolutely fine, but the actual fascia is out my about 3mm.

Was hoping that one of you guys could advise, or if unfortunately yu have had the same problem could point Me in the right direction!

Thank You!

Oli

Best advice...stay away from that stereo.

I know it's easier said than done, but spend a little more and get something that's of better quality.

Already been bought and out of packaging now, Neil!

20 year old in a Z4? I'm surprised you got insured, dare I ask how much? I bet it's a pretty penny unless your fraudulently claiming your the "second driver".

My point being. Your paying a fortune on insurance. Yet you skimp on a head unit something you will be using daily I imagine.

When buying a head unit I only trust a handful of companies for sound quality. Pioneer being my go to brand. Alpine my second. I wish yamaha made head units. I like their music and avr amps.

I would stick that head unit back on ebay. Buy a single din pioneer for around £150. There is no need for sat nav, large screen, etc. Use your smartphone and waze connected to the head unit through bluetooth.

There is a thread here on fascia's that may be useful.

Hope you're having fun with the zed, when you've time, pop an intro in the newbie thread,
