Z4 Facelift project

Some pictures of my z4 which I am facelifting, more to come. It is a 3.0 with the usual extras (sat nav, Bluetooth)

Attached are the pictures before going into body shop, prepping for paint and getting painted in sapphire black.

New wheels to come, and need some electrical work doing as the sat nav/radio/dash lights have packed in, though the Windows have started to work again!

I have a pair of facelift rear lights which will go on soon, although the facelift rear bumper is already on ( so there is a slight noticeable gap between lights and bumper).

Wow that Z looks like you found it in a barn!

Great to see you restoring it and not just to its former glory actually improving it!

Top work

Looking forward to seeing more photos as your project progresses

Hope all goes well with this.

Currently in the process of doing very similar with mine.

Hopefully:

M bumper plus updated front lights for the front end
Facelift bumper, lights and quad exhaust on the rear end.

Don't forget to code then car for the rear LED's

I've been quoted £50 by quarry motors in Sheffield for this. Is there a cheaper way to do it without being a genius ?

Cheers

Do you know anyone local Mark with the required skills?

Off the top of my head no, but I'd put a post up asking for anyone in the area with ability to code, as an when your ready , I do keep threatening to buy the bccable an software an having a go myself,

Is this the cable required?

I know my way around a computer, but have no idea about coding.

If it's the correct cable and software I'll happily buy one if you want to give it a 'two heads are better than one' approach?

It's definitely similar
I'd be wary of that as its Hong Kong,
Alot on here recommend http://www.bcables.com/index.html
But when I look it seems several different cables cover it, an then I get confused, if I was certain which I needed I'd buy it in a heartbeat, as I have a oldish laptop that could be used just for the software

Will have a go at the rear lights within the next two weeks, a new ignition switch was fitted which cured the electric problems, however there are now issues with the roof maybe the roof motor might've packed in
