Z4 Exhaust mod "kinda" (in search of the "GROWL")

Fellow Zed owners, as you know there are limited exhaust/muffler options for the Z4 Roadster if your in search of the "Growl," I found a Remis complete system for around $1200 USD (plus shipping & installation), I then found an earlier post where a Zed owner had a Magnaflow 11379 muffler installed vice the stock muffler, about $350 out the door at my local Muffler Man shop in Orlando, FL (9305 S. OB). While at the shop today, "TJ" suggested we take a listen after simply cutting the stock muffler, with the multiple CATs and Condensers he thought a muffler may not be required at all (saving me the $110 for the Magnaflow). I was amazed at the GROWL minus the stock muffler, it was perfect and made the hairs on the back of my neck salute! On the way home via "The Beeline," it was orgasmic! So, I went with straight pipes and tips (yes tips are slightly staggered and identical), they look and sound incredible! I kept the stock muffler in case I want to trade my Zed (for a newer model) in future. $250 out the door. Below are a few pics, couldn't figure out how to post a sound video (used my cell phone with my son as sound boom) "trust and believe" it growls!

Our neighbour 5 doors down has done the same thing to his BMW 3 series.
He leaves for work before 7am.
I don't need an alarm clock.

The above statements are not unrelated :x

Try to figure how to post from my cell phone to forum, any recommendations? It's saying invalid format? R/

I would be very, very worried about drone with straight pipes. That Magnaflow muffler gets good reviews if I recall. I guess you can always add it later if the straight pipes do get to you after a while...

ive had a muffler delete for over a year, it is a bit tiresome on the 'highway' but it sounds ace round town with the cracks and pops

Posted a few more pics of the pipes.

Same, had that done on my zed when I had it and it was beautiful. Motorway was alright tbf but it was a coupe so maybe better isolated.

Nothing wrong with a bit more noise OP!

A previous owner of my Coupe had a custom system made up with a rear muffler about half the size of the original - it sounds so much better than the standard system my previous Coupe had. :)

The sound those pipes make remind me of Reverend Brown when he gets going with his speech

Where'd you get the straight pipes and tips? I can get the work done for free, but have to supply the parts. Living in a city that's chock full of AMG and Porsche.. I'd love this growl.

How is this for any back pressure concerns? I’ve been eyeing this idea, but what issues or problems that might come from it?

Can’t see it being an issue on a na car. Cats probably dominate in terms of back pressure anyway.

I did the back box delete on my previous Zed and I still have the box. I’m tempted to do it again as I loved it so much :)
