Z4 engine problems

Fingers crossed it's just a dead ignition coil, but the wife is driving it.

Wasn't idling or revving right, sounding like it was missing. Now it's ticking a bit louder than it was but I think that is more just a fully missing broken ign.coil than a partially working one. Well I hope it is any way. Pretty sure it's now in limp mode but this is all wife feedback over the phone
RAC now on their way just in case, don't want it to go pop big time if it's something chain related!

Car is on 100k and 8yrs old so I guess an ignition coil at this stage isn't so bad... but does that sound like a ign.coil failure?


Anyone else had similar and it's just been an ign.coil?

Seem cheap enough at £45 each so fingers crossed!

Yeah, looks like 2 & 5 were not right...

Think I'll just get 6 new ones at GSF, apparently they are a good German brand and only £25 each... leaves me a few spares then too

Good plan... fit all new ones, and keep the old ones as spares...

£22.50 each now, just got a 10% discount voucher hehe.

Now I'm wondering if it's worth doing spark plugs while I'm tinkering with all this stuff.

/goes to see how much spark plugs are these days
