Z4 E89 DIAGNOSTICS HELP

Hi All,

I currently have the engine management light on my z4 e89, Ive tried using INPA to get the fault code but can only seem to clear the light and not get a fault code to try and fix it, again. should I try using ISTA instead? if this is the case does anyone out there have any guidance?

OP, sorry not something I'm au fait with but I'm sure someone here more familiar with engine diagnostics will turn up.
 
I would get the vehicle code read buy an independent who will have better software to pull the codes..

Once you have a code,you can start to diagnose your problems..

Thanks for taking your time to reply, I might have to do that, I do have access to the BMW diagnostic software just struggling to get to terms with it at the minute.

Managed to get an error code - 002BC1 Mixture control - fuel air mixture too rich

any one come accross this before or have any tips/advise on fixing it?
