Hey all,

I am in the process of having my 35IS booked in to be wrapped. Currently alpine white, which looks great but I have always been a sucker for orange!

The wrap I have chosen is 3M Fiery Orange, to be installed by the Vehicle Wrapping Center (On the official 3M approved installer list, and has a big portfolio which looks excellent!).

For anyone curious the full wrap in 3M is £1200, £1400 including door interiors and sills.

Will update with pics when this is done :)

excellent choice  the color is stunning and the quality of the wrap is superb, had to repair my front left wing due some parking damage but the new piece is exactly the same color as the older wrap.
You've probably seen this one already...

Thanks for the pics and input everyone! So a further update on this.
I have booked this in but have not officially given them a color for this yet. I am torn between 2 colors which are 3M Fire Orange and 3M Burnt Orange.
3M Fire Orange seems to look very different to the classic BMW Fire Orange. Seems to be much more reddish in terms of overall tone. Pics below, let me know your thoughts guys. The burnt gloss orange is much more like the color I was aiming for.

All the colours seem flat, except the 3m Gloss Fiery Orange.

It looks excellent in the first photo. Does the black roof help, do you think?

My vote is 3M Gloss Fiery :fuelfire: Orange with black roof but no black on the bonnet. Calipers colour matched to the body colour.

The other orange looks flat in most pictures and a bit washed out in others.

Even the original BMW Fire Orange which is paintwork?

Problem here is that all wraps can look so different under different lighting. Thus why the first Z4 in fire orange looks radically different to the last one in fire orange.

The burnt orange just looks... 'orange' - the 3M Fiery Orange looks... 'WOW'
But of course, it's your money and your choice. The advice you're getting in this thread is worth every cent you've paid for it

Exactly.

It's like guys with black Porsches: "Ah, but it's 'Deep Midnight Velvet Starshine' and so different" or whatever. Er, no fellers: it's black.

And all the oranges above, bar one, look like orange lollipops, anyway.

Thanks for the input everyone! I went to view these wraps today and ended up choosing the following:
3M 1080-G364 Gloss Fiery Orange :)

The Gloss Burnt Orange and Regular Orange look way to strong in real life, colours do not look anything like the pics or swabs really.....

So im thinking

Gloss Fiery Orange Inc Roof
Gloss Black Mirrors
Gloss Black Front Grill
Brake Callipers Matched to body colour (Or Blue to match BMW Elements and provide abit of contrast)
326M 19" Alloys. Not sure on these.... I do not like pure black, feel like wheels lose all detail, Perhaps a carbon shadow grey?

Let me know your thoughts once again guys! Thanks all

More Images I have found of the 1080 G364 Fiery Orange (Note how different the colours are in each picture, some much more orange, some much more red. This wrap is highly responsive to light, and goes from a reddish orange to golden orange in sunlight

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but if I was choosing for myself it would definitely be the fiery orange. Mind you my wife is reluctant to let me choose the colour of my own socks!

Again, fiery orange is a stunning color and YES it looks very different with different light. What i like the most is that it even looks deep with bad light, not as flat as most orange. Fresh washed in direct sunlight i'm fallimg in love everytime with the color. :hateie:
