all,
Looking for some advice on a Z4 E89 boot/soft-close issue.
The left-hand micro switch on the boot soft-close/latch mechanism is broken and the wires have come away at the contact point on the switch itself.

Can anyone advice me 🙏🙏Hi🙏🙏🙏 urgent

I wonder if they have internal monitoring.
Seems they are like hens teeth to find, but i would find something to bodge..
My first attempt would be to grind back the plastic housing near to where they broke off, enough to solder new wires.
Whilst open multimeter to check resistances.
Two wire set up might lose boot light function.
Looks like verdigris corrosion, have a damp boot?
Look similar to two wire shell microswitch.
Reminds me my cars boot light gone out.

Just strange isn't it! 0 damp what so ever in there. No water getting in either! It was botched by the previous owner a few times

I've got mine about to go to RBM (need to book leave) but I'm getting microswitch 2 right - open
Hello mate well I've just replaced mine and I have the right side... The ride side is fine other than the original sleeving is peeling a little there's no issues with it this

Pay to remove the right black sheath and check wires underneath.
I have had right wires fail same as left side fail.

I managed to get my left side switch working for a test and the right side was working fine! It has never been opened and worked on from the visible sheath... I just wouldn't want to open it and decrease a chance of a sale
