Just noticed this on the site and they are saying to use the MHD "orange" wifi adaptor so may be worth going back to seller and see what they say .

Yeah following all instruction- it won’t load up once installed at all

I’ve ordered an orange connector to revert to doing it from my iPhone

We will get there

Enjoyed reading through this.

Top work mate, brilliant content. Will look forward to seeing more exhaust stuff, as I’m interested in making mine sound abit fruitier but definitely don’t want any drone! I took abit of foam out of the “sound generator pipe” the other day and that’s been a blast, still enjoying that for now but I wouldn’t mind a nicer exhaust sound eventually

I’m not sure if should modify the back box (budget option ) or go for a full exhaust. Any thoughts on this would be great!

Thank you for your comments

I have read good and bad about the backbox mod but have not experienced it myself so cannot comment really . Like everything it depends on your budget at the time . The best sound I got before going custom race was the Eisenmann Race Backbox which still isnt cheap but sounded really good without any drone and is not too loud . That was with the original exhaust . When I removed the mid silencer it made it sound a bit more " aggressive " but did intoduce a small amount of drone . Going for a full cat back exhaust is worth doing if the one you have got is damaged or not in a good state of repair but in my humble opinion it is otherwise fine as it is . I have however recently read good reviews rather than mixed reviews of the Gravity exhaust that you see on eBay so maybe they have made it so that it fits better so that could be an option https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=109995 . The part that needs replacing to get the best gains is the exhaust headers and cats but that is where the problem starts as there are no RHD aftermarket headers that fit without being chopped about . You can spend hours researching and asking but at the end of the day we are all different and what sounds good to me wont sound the same to someone else so unless you know someone with the backbox mod that you can listen to its a hard call . Try asking on the forum if anyone local to you has had it done or any other exhaust work i`m sure they would let you have a listen in person . Good luck :)

Thanks for the information mate. I loo ike the idea of a backbox, rather than a full exhaust as it seems an easier commitment incase I want to swap back and it's obviously a little less money too. I've come across Eisenmann before so I'm just looking at them now, thanks for that! Hopefully this is it > http://www.eisenmann.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1182 ... did you go for the Sport or Pro Race sound level?

On my previous 3.0si I straight piped it, which obviously sounded loud but I think I've grown out of that  Since I took out the foam and had all the lovely induction noise, it made me realise actually what I enjoy is that probably more so than the exhaust noise as that's what I hear inside the cabin more so than the exhaust and I love how refined it sounds. However, I wouldn't say no to a bit more of a roar once I turn the key and fire it up and a fruitier sound mid to high rpm would be lovely too, so perhaps a backbox is the happy medium. It sounds great on the video on Eisenmann link above.

Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing more.

P.S - I'm based in W Yorkshire, so if anyone sees this and it around, give me a shout!

Yes thats the one  I recently sold mine to another forum member . You find them on offer occassionally from some sellers which is when I bought mine . I went with the race as I had heard that the sport wasn`t much louder than stock . The race has a great sound and is still fairly quiet until you hit the higher revs . I did a short start up video here https://youtu.be/TJZ0JCc-rtM .

Lets hope so . Frustrating when things like this happen .

All sorted

Have to say support from a remote (assume Germany) standpoint is superb

And the difference to standard is excellent. I only upped it to stage one to start and took it for a quick spin but blimey!

Superb product

If you do decide to go for it speak to Crest Automotive as they are the main importer and say they will beat any price https://www.catune.co.uk/single_prod-cHJvZF9pZD0yOTkz.html

Finally got round to removing the aluminium trim and start fitting the carbon leather trim that I bought from forum member Wassup, and I am very happy with the way it looks . Now just got to remove the whole of the centre consol and everything else that goes with it to fit the last part . Not looking forward to that .

It’s not too difficult, really, you just need to do everything in the right order. Have you got instructions?

I`ve seen a couple of you tube videos and i`m sure I have seen the instructions on the forum somewhere . I will do a search unless you have them to hand ?

Thanks Zedebee . Lots of the guides on forums are now missing the photos or the links don`t work so this will help .
