Surely all your lightweighting problems have just been solved with more power?

I seem to be getting a red wine belly and with winter coming I will probably put on a few more pounds so the power to weight ratio is decreasing

Lolol.. The struggle is real :)

Sorry for the late reply have been doing the NC500 organised by Peter [ref]B21[/ref], which was excellent . In answer to your question I did think about doing the side windows but decided not to in the end :)

Just rest through all 17 pages, fantastic build thread. Re carbon roof… I’d at min apply ceramic coat on top for added UV protection. Even the oe BMW cf roofs on the m3 suffer get damaged after prolonged sun exposure. Adding additional clear coat isn’t always the answer either because from what I gather, clear and resin are not the same. And adding clear will expose some of the air bubbles in the resin (that’s not normally perceivable), and so you end up with all these pinholes in the finish.

Thank you for taking the time to read through it all and hope it wasn`t too boring :) The carbon roof depends on the quality of finish . I agree with what you have said and in my situation that is why I had it spray painted and then clear coated so hopefully should be no issues . I have requested to follow your Instagram as looks like a great M. Cheers Tony .

The time has come for me to sell my 3.0 Si . I never thought it would happen as I have put so much time and money into it but I now have the Z4M and I cant justify having two Z4`s . I have just done a 4,500 mile trip in it through France and Spain with my better half and a group of like minded people and temperatures as high as 44 degress without any overheating issues etc . I shall be putting up a for sale post within the next 2 weeks once I have decided on a price as I want to sell the car as it is even though I would get more for it by selling the parts .I still have the original roof and tailgate plus original aluminium interior trim and badging. The car cost me 8,500 and I have spent over 20,000 on upgrades/parts without labour charge and I am aware that I`m not going to get all of that back .I would love to hear suggestions on what you think the car is worth ( opening myself up for a fall here :) ) and If anyone is looking for a fast road / track day ready car that is ready to go then please get in touch with me .
