So... 95 views and no interest. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong with this advert. I know I am reluctantly selling, so am not really pushing it too hard but I thought I would've had some interested from here or PH.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Looks a very nice example with an interior that will really appeal to some. In my opinion, you're asking at the top end for a private seller at this age and miles, so I'd be expecting more detail on service history to back up why it's worth that much.

Lovely looking car, great colour, just what I'm searching for but need to sell mine first. Agree with Jamie, need details of service history in the advert and a little pricey, it's up there with dealer prices for the one's I've looked at.

It's quite hard to value these cars when there are so few about. I thought my price was towards the lower end. Private cars on PH at least seem to be up for between £11k and £8400

I will add the service history details when I get a sec and am next at home, but to be honest I would probably rather keep the car than sell it for much less than my current asking price.

If the SH is all there then I would say its a fair price
Would sell quicker on PH in my experience

I didn't have any problem selling my 1st one on here when I just replied to a post from someone looking for one!

But once what I had done sank in I had to go and find another. :roll:

FWIW OP I paid slightly less than you are asking in May 2016 for my manual Coupe with 78K miles, but your interior is rather special!

Between 2014 when I bought the car and the end of Jan 2018 90% of the mileage was motorway. Since a change of job in January it's not doing huge mileage. Although the computer says the next service is not due I'll be getting is serviced in the coming weeks.

As I previously said, I'm not desperate to sell and some of the comments I've had recently are convincing me to keep it, but I'm open to offers.

I can't see why this hasn't already sold especially if already tried around the current ask , if it was my sale i would remove the rear boot lip you need to make the car appear as standard as poss & more so being a auto as dare i say they tend to attract a more mature owner 8) otherwise looks another fine sub 90k example around £8k .

I've not really pushed the sale since my original post as I didn't (and still don't really) want to sell. But I'm trying to be sensible and there are other uses I could make of the money and as the Z isn't getting used...

Apart from the boot spoiler and the stubby, it is completely standard. I only wanted an original car when I was looking originally and this was pretty close and ticked my other requirements. It's for that reason (keeping an original car) that I've paid silly money to replace a cracked allow with a new wheel from BMW, and did the same with a foggy headlight, rather than attempt to repair either.

I had no preference between manual and auto but I have to say that the auto is the best of both worlds for me. I use it in manual mode with the paddles a lot, but have the option of a more leisurely cruise in auto. And at least the sport button does something on an auto...

I drove it again for the first time in a couple of weeks yesterday. I was only popping to the shops but ended up being out for 2 hours driving around sweeping b roads in Kent... it took me a while after that to resubmit my ad here and on PH!

That's exactly what happened to me with my first one! Sadly that same day I got a call from the forum member who had driven about 150 miles to view it the day before rang me up to put a deposit on it.

Just make sure you really do want to sell! :lol:

It had just dawned on me that I've done less than 350 miles in the past year so I think I may see if there is any interest again in my pride and joy.

All details are as per the first post, except the mileage is now 86,345 and I will be getting a main dealer service done in the next month (despite the computer saying there are over 12k miles til the next service).
