I believe I am going to regret this in the long run, but I have decided to list for sale my Z4 E86 coupe.
Its far and above the best Z4 I’ve owned and it never fails to make me smile- what a car! The reason for the listing is that I have decided that its time to scratch the M itch. Hence why I think I may regret it!!! :!:
I’ve owned it for just over a year and the car came with good provenance in terms of works already done (with paperwork to support)
Car and spec:
• 2007 E86 3.0si sport auto coupe in sapphire black and black interior
• 131k miles with good service history, MOT with no advisories until Apr 25
• Sport model- so the right seats and steering wheel- heated memory seats and MFSW Sport steering wheel with paddles. Sports button
• Its got tinted rear glass from factory, auto lights and wipers, plus dimming internal and external mirrors. Cup holders, PDC rear.
• Original reg. will revert to LJ07HLM, current is S25WNN
• 6 previous owners
• 2 keys
Changes to car:
Differences to the factory spec:
• Aero side skirts
• 19” Style 230 alloys in superb condition- finished in graphite grey, ceramic coated. Good non RFT tyres fitted Pirelli/Continental
• H&R lowering springs fitted to rear making it slightly lower and stiffer
• Fitted plano black 3 piece internal dash trim to remove the brushed alu
• Fitted GROM BT3 kit to allow music streaming and calls
• Added door speakers and rear sub speakers from a higher spec system
• Cruise control fitted
• LED bulbs fitted internally, LED indicator bulbs fitted and Phillips Nightbreaker headlight bulbs fitted
• Door membranes resealed and sound deadening in doors/boot area
In addition to this, the car being an auto I have installed XHP autobox coding- allowing the gear changes to be sharpened up and/or customised:
1. Factory
2. Stage 1
3. Stage 2
4. Stage 3
5. Custom
Its currently on stage 2, I will supply the laptop and software (plus INPA and all other BMW software) to allow the buyer to keep this option and be flexible.
Mechanics/Maintenance
Its been fully serviced by myself with two oil and filter changes in the last year (having done around 3k miles).
• K&N air filter
• Gearbox oil and filter changed, diff oil changed
• New valve cover gasket and all associated gaskets (valvetronic etc), new spark plugs
• Polybush ARB bushes front and rear
• New Bilstien B4 shocks front with top mounts, new rear shocks and top mounts.
• New front wishbones x2 and polybushed rear lollipops
• Road race upgraded adjustable front drop links
• Yellow stuff front pads, braided hoses and brake fluid change. The hard lines have been replaced in the past and are in good order.
• New front fogs fitted (old corroded), headlights polished
• New expansion tank, antifreeze, auto thermostat, new fan
• Vanos solenoids cleaned
• New acc belt
• New headlight rears and seals
• Aircon regassed
• 2x post cat lambda sensors
No warning lights
Previous documented works (a big stack of invoices to support) include a new steering column/EPS, water pump change and brake pipe renewal.
Bodywork
No rust. No scrapes etc. A couple of door dings if you look closely. Paintwork is good and has been clayed, the car is only ever hand washed. No broken or cracked glass. Wheels not kerbed. Black grilles fitted. Seats and interior in very good order- seats have no rips or tears, I’ve recoloured them and the steering wheel leather has been restored. New floor mats. The car is only run on premium fuel. Front reflectors replaced for new.
I’m sure I’ve forgotten stuff I’ve done.
It looks superb. It drives just as good as it looks. Put it in sports mode and it goes like the wind. Roadholding with the bigger wheels is superb and you really have to push it to get the DSC lights on, or for it to let go.
I’m listing for £8000 as it sits with aeros fitted including the laptop for the software or £7000 without the aeros. I am happy to look at swaps if you have an M (roadster or coupe money your way) and you are looking for a change… talk to me!
