The only time I’ve spun my Zed on the road was in torrential rain with all the systems switched on and fairly new road tyres. The DSC did nothing to intervene.
It may have made things worse by applying the brake to one of the wheels too much.
DSC is realistically a very primitive electronic form of handling control, or a very very poor excuse for a LSD.
I have never noticed it being of any noticeable use apart from wearing out the rear pads far too quickly. And if the car is applying the rear brakes on a RWD car, it is putting abnormal strain on the driveshafts and diff, surely?
DSC literally 'drags' the back end around. I am not a fan of electronic intervention, especially when it is as primitive as DSC.
