Z4 E85 Skirt clips.

One or two of the plastic clips that hold on the skirt (oem) have broken off and the skirt has a gap that's allowing the rubber seal to fall out. The red arrow on the pic shows the part of the skirt that is coming away.
I've not pulled the skirt off to check the clips because I don't want to run the risk of breaking any more and the skirt flapping about Atm it's still quite solid. My question is 'what clips do I buy?' The oem parts pic doesn't show how many clips and positions.

Are you sure it's broken. The are notoriously difficult to engage at the point you mention. I've fitted a few sets and had to wrap a block of smooth wood in a cloth and tap it firmly with a decent sized hammer to engage it.

Failing that then sometimes the part of the clip that fits into the sill is disengaged so you need to take the sill off split the clips into their 2 parts and re-fix it.

If you're worried just buy a couple ahead of time from BMW

They are very cheap, pennies.

Take the skirt off, clean 10 years of mud from underneath, and refit :lol:

Thanks Jeeper and pvr for the pointers. I agree it's a case of buying the clips then removing the skirt and refitting it. Best get the clips ordered.
