Is tonight going to be where the original Z4 gets featured, as one can see in this teaser on YouTube ?

We'll know in a couple of hours. Could change UK demand for used Z4's if they like it, although Clarkson is on record a stating the original Z4 was "too ugly", the suspension "unacceptable" (too stiff) and "mostly driven by people who spent their evenings wife swapping! :bonk:" What will he have to say this time?

Richard Hammond is a convert though. :yeah:

Sunday 10 July
8:00pm - 9:00pm
BBC2

3/6, series 17

If you want to spend less than £7,000 on a new car, you'll have to opt for a tiny Indian-made hatchback called the Nissan Pixo - Britain's cheapest car. But if you went looking for a second-hand car? Or rather, what if Top Gear went looking for you? Tonight Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond see what bargains they can find for the same money.

The show was good today. Mercedes CL was really a bargain. I couldn't believe it was much faster than BMW 850Ci.

I think it's now time to sell my 840 8)

I knew the Merc would walk the drag race, there's really about 10 years of development between the cars.

i guess the downside is parts and repairs - my friend has a 330 with 101 gadgets including the auto distance cruise control (same as on the merc) it recently stopped working and requires a new module @ £1600 :?

I used to have a CL. It was an awful lot of car for the money and wasn't really unreliable as the show suggested it might be. It was simply the price of fixing anything that did go wrong that put me off. After paying a few £K for sorting out the exhaust I was left dumbfounded when Mercedes tolld me they couldn't cut me a spare key because they CoMMAND module had no more room to "mate" any keys to and the only course of action was to replace COMMAND at a price of about £4K :(

He actually backtracked on thinking the car was ugly (design just came to soon). In fact in this review he mentions it's the best looking two seater convertible. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/driving/jeremy_clarkson/article726903.ece
