Z4 e85 halogen headlamp units to xenon headlamp units; a straight swap?

Need some help please :o

My E85 has oem halogen headlamp units (orange ones) at the moment. I'm thinking of swapping these completely with new headlamp units but the oem xenon ones (again orange ones)

Is this a straight swap or does something have to be reprogrammed/any rewiring needed?
 
Believe there is some reprogramming or even an LCM replacement needed. PM Neil (mac27040) as he will be able to help on the coding side.
 
Plus head lamp washers if you don't already have them, they are a requirement with xenons to pass an MOT
 
They physically fit but is a complex swap requiring new 'xenon' LCM (light switch and controller), automatic level adjusters on 2 suspension arms and new looms in places.
Arguably washers, but not according to some interpretations of the rules.
It's possible to do a compromise and reprogramme the LCM and keep manual beam levelling, but if doing that most people end up simply fitting hid kits
