Z4 (E85) Door decorative sill strip peeled off

yesterday I was washing my Zed and noticed that a decorative strip peeled off:


What is the best way to fix this? Are there some hooks or something, or just to buy some glue and put it together?

I had the same recently. The trims are held on with clips (51478262533), number 2 in the diagram. I think there's 7 on each trim. Just pry carefully with a plastic trim tool

I think that strip is actually number 3 on the side box on the diagram?
The inner sill trim is number 2.

The decorative trim/kick plate is number 4 and the clips are number 2 in the box on the right. The circled numbers are the clips/fasteners required to secure the relevant piece of trim etc

But the picture of the clip you’ve shown is the big fat one that holds the inner sill carpet retainer in place. For the outer ‘tread’ piece you need the small white clips I referenced.
Maybe not exactly what Realoem shows but I’ve done few and it’s the little ones you need for the outer piece

You're absolutely right Enuff_zed I replaced the kick plate complete with a used one I had acquired on Ebay as my existing one was scruffy and didn't pay the clips much attention other than they were white. It would appear that RealOEM is incorrect and has (3) and (2) the wrong way round on the exploded diagram
