Found members forum very useful regarding this retrofit but there seem to be quite a few issues that have cropped up regarding pin numbers, empty sockets, colour of wires etc so I was a little dubious.

Decided to have a go anyway

OEM Kit from Lithuania for £175 via your favourite auction site.
Complete kit no additional parts required
Instructions from :
http://bimmertune.com/index.php?route=b ... ticle_id=5
These were spot on for my car.

Plug and play - kit wire colours matched the car wiring- 3 hours including feeding the blue black wire through the bulkhead and loom grommets - I used a coat hanger wire with the wire taped on to feed the wire behind the dash and through the bulkhead grommet.
Didn't have to take the glove box out just the lower trim
Used a biro tube to feed the wire through the loom grommets
Soldered all the joints.
No problem identifying any of the pin numbers ,locations or wire colours- IF you bother to split the plugs put your glasses on and look at the Pin numbers.

Might attach a few more photos in a separate post if anyone is interested

Works at 30mph too so does what it is supposed to. (Not sure why some say its only good above 60Kph.)

£175. Afraid you paid about £40 more than you had to. Parts from BMW can be had for £135 stalk and loom.

Thanks for that! Sopers quoted me 250 and with fitting was near 600. Would be interested to know which BM .Who do I call?W dealer sels it for 40 less as I have another 1 to do ?

Soper charge £105 for the stalk and just under £30 for the loom. I can supply a customer look for £20

The £250 price would have included the lower cowl.
