Im after a 3.0 Si vert manual in top condition, service history and low owners. Lower miles the better. If you have one for sale I would be interested. Not black, white, red or yellow.

Good luck with your hunt but as there were only 690 sold in the U.K. finding a low mile/fsh car might be a challenge now 16 years after the last were built

I would probably advise not setting a mileage limit but rather look on spec/condition

Mine for instance has 70k on it and a full service history/file, but that only equates to 4K a year and personally I’d rather have a car that had light regular use than one that has sat unused maybe for years

Anyway good luck

Major issue with any car on low mileage, people want a premium and as soon as you drive it and start clocking the mileage up it devalues, better off with a car on 60 to 70k and pay a sensible price and enjoy the car

Yes I realise it may be a challenge and not adverse to 70k miles just a starting point trying to weed out the tired hectors. Im prepared to pay the right price so someone sitting on one and take the mileage loss.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You may have to be patient and/or willing to travel as the UK only got 695 manual 3.0Si Roadsters, so ruling out some colours there aren't going to be very many low-milers given that the youngest are now 15 years old!

The N52 engine in them is great, and can easily do twice that mileage with no major issues. I sold my 2nd 3.0Si on 90K miles and it is still going strong past 6 figures with the current owner. I also had an E91 325i with an N52 engine that I sold at 139K, and my current E90 330i has done 122K and all three performed brilliantly.

Unless you plan to only do very few miles you could save a chunk of change buying a higher mileage one!

Bear in mind you will pay a big premium for the low miles E85 (saw a 35k miler 3.0i not even an SI on ebay for £11k), then pay a load more in maintenance, if its sitting outside most of the time not being driven thats a lot of money to sink on the car. You might make some back in appreciation over the years, but it will literally be, years.

I had a 65k mile E86 3.0si which I sold and for less than half the price of that bought an E85 3.0si with 115k miles on it. There is no difference in performance, handling, etc. and I dont feel so bad about that money sat outside for a week without use. It also had the benefit of having the vanos, water pump, all suspension parts, brakes, tyres, roof motor relocated, gaskets and tonnes of other stuff done that my E86 didnt have done - it is in better shape for the next 10 years than my E86 was.
