Initial thread for sale: car has final mechanical bits to do over the next week but will be ready by end December

2003 2.5i manual in Titan Silver.

I'm awaiting the V5 to tell me previous owners, but the chap I got it from did loads of stuff to a car that already had some mods that not all will like... but I am sure someone will:

Its a brilliant car to drive- fun because of the mods and genuinely puts a smile on your face.

Previous owner changed the poverty spec seats and door cards, I replaced the seats with heated and memory black leather.
I've changed the front passenger wing as that was starting to rust and had a dent
Its got refurbed 107's in a chrome/gunmetal finish with brand new Goodyear tyres all round
It handles superbly as its on lowered H&R springs
Its got no rear box- straight piped through so its loud
I believe it to be mapped as its the quickest 2.5i I've ever driven
Its got recovered steering wheel and gear knob- tastefully done and feels better than standard
Has a fairly good service history and one working key plus the plastic valet key
Extended storage (cup holders) and dimming internal mirror plus sports button
Aftermarket wind deflector
Roof is in good order
Brakes are in good order

MOT due March 23

I've also done:

Vanos and valve cover gasket
Water pump, thermostat and anti freeze- the expansion tank is newer than the factory one and new sparks
Oil and filter change
New rear shocks and top mounts
Cabin and air filter
New aux belts and brake fluid
New horns (previous not working) and new steering wheel slip ring
Fitted aux
Roof motor moved from usual place- its been changed in the past so isn't a 2003 motor
Door lock needed fixing which Ive done- no gm5 issues
Changed the internal trim from plastic silver to brushed aluminium
Took the stubby off, threw it in the bin and put a proper aerial on

Happy to take questions-

As it stands £3000

Happy to send more pics if needed or I'll take more when all completed

Cheers

Stuart

Bargain for a bigwinn factory special. I thought it would have a silly mileage, but no, only 108k at the last MoT.

Looks like you’ve got spacers on there too?

GLWTS

Lovely looking car and all the bad bits done, good price and a bargain for someone,. GLWTS. Shame about the stumpy though :poke:

Have you lost the french fries? Looks quite nice without them.

I haven’t- the previous owner

But I agree it’s a different look innit?

Looks like a good price to me. 109k isn't high for the year, new tyres, refurbed wheels, engine sorted, new rear shocks........

I don't know how you do it for the money Stuart. You ain't gonna get rich that I do know! :D

Respectfully Stuart, looks like a cared for (with extensive PREVENTATIVE maintenance already completed) example of an honest, 2.5 Z4…
and for the life of me, at the price point your asking - with work you’ve completed, why the heck is this still available for sale, circa 2.5+ days later? :headbang:

Looks like the perfect solution to my current situation - I just can't seem to resist the 107's. I keep straying across the boarder to the comfort of the E89 but really for how I use the car I think the pre-facelift E85 is the perfect partner. I'll PM you my contact details Stuart and hopefully we can discuss

Majority of works done now, just a couple of internal bits to do (change central trim etc)
